Where the orange tulips bloom
Kitsu asked me today why we fold orange tulips, and why Eos and I would always do activities or say things centered around the flower. I sent out a message to Chesah, asking if I could bring the twins over, so they could see where their mom grew up. She was happy to see that they wanted to learn, but just like me, it brought her a sharp pain in her heart when seeing anything of Eos'.
Eos and I had met through an incident where I was exploring our neighborhood and stumbled into their yard. Eos saw me with her gnome, and had presumed the worst. Eventually I came back with an orange tulip as a truce.
Akina smiles softly as she looks at the treehouse, while listening. I notice her face, scrunched up slightly in thought, with her tongue peeking out slightly. I smile as I run my hand over the old wood, and begin to tell them how we built it together. By the end of the day, the kids know exactly how I asked Eos out to prom, when and how we met.
"Ba? What about your proposal?"
Kitsu makes a face at Akina of pure disgust, before commenting, "Marriage?"
I smile at their antics, before pointing back to the treehouse.
Kitsu smirks, and laughs, "You proposed to Mama in the treehouse? How old were you? Nine?"
Akina playfully hits Kitsu, and Kitsu retaliates quickly, before putting her hands down. Akina looks at me while gently restraining Kitsus hands, "Please continue Baba."
I laugh, and take a seat. Chesah notices that I'm telling them another story, and comes out with a pitcher of lemonade, which the girls drink thirstily. She strokes Akina's hair, and I begin the story.
