The tough kid (one piece modern au)

You walked through the dark alley, since it's a short cut to your house. You had only walked a few steps when you met a group of kids trashing a kid.

"Can't you guys pick up someone of your size?" you asked, slowly approaching them. They all turned their attention to you and you could see 3 pairs of hungry eyes.

"What? Never seen a woman before?"

"Easy there sweetheart. We'll get to you once we finish with this."

"Aww. But just so you know, I have no patience" with that you kicked the leader's abdomen and cried in pain. Then you punched the blueish black hair's jaw and punched the green hair's abdomen. The leader launched at you, but you flipped him off. 

The three of them, not wanting to get beaten anymore, decided to run for their lives. 

"That's right. Run home to mommy douchebags" you yelled. You heard a sound of something falling in the background and turned to see a shocked looking Law. His Jaw was dropped and the eyes were widened to max. 

"Close your mouth trafalgar, or a fly might pass through it" you teased, the turned to the awe stricken boy. 

"You ok kid?" You asked extending your not-so-bloody hand. He reluctantly accepted it, but wasn't able to stand up.

"They messed up your leg pretty bad huh? Fear not, my friend can patch them up. Right Traffy?"

Traffy huh?

"Sure, But I need your assistance y/n ya. As you can see, my hand is pretty messed up because of your brother." he said, stressing the last two words. You rolled your eyes in annoyence and muttered "whatever."

With the guidence of future surgeon Trafalgar Law, you patched up the kid. "Can you walk?" Law asked the kid, who responded by shaking his head. You and Law shared a glance and nodded. Law carried the Kid's backpack while you carried the kid on your back..

"State your name kid"

"Chopper. Tony Tony Chopper"

"Alright Chopper. Now, is your house far away from here?" he shook his head as a no and pointed to a nearby building.

You, along with Law, walked to his Apartment. Thank heavens the kid was lightweight.

You rang the doorbell only it to be opened by a woman with a beer bottle in her hands. 

"Chopper? What happened to you?" she bursted out. After you gave Chopper to her and before you could begin explaining the situation, the woman threw her bottle aiming at you and you somehow dodged it.

And somehow you both managed to run away with your lives. 

"Phew. That woman is crazy as hell"

"Couldn't say otherwise. Your fight was awesome by the way."

"Thanks. You should come and see my match if you are interested."

"I'll try. Hey, its the weekend tomorrow. What are your plans?"

"Me? Nothing much. Tomorrow I need to go to Wano to help King sama with the matches and stuff. Otherwise I am free"

You actually walked all the way to Law's home without noticing. When you reached the place, Law insisted that you meet Corazon before you go.

"Y/n! What a surprise!" Corazon said as he opened the door.

"Evening Cora san. How was your day?"

"Good. Oh my, your hand is bleeding. I can see cuts and blood all over. Come I'll dress those wounds quick" he said grabbing your uncut wrist. He looked quite concerned and worried - something you'll never see in your Adoptive father's face. 

Law is indeed a lucky guy.

"Good Morning King Sama. How is everything going?"

"Morning y/n. Not everything is good now. And no need to be formal when it's just us," King said as he took off his mask.

"How are you managing in that mask? It's really hot nowadays."

"I just do."

"Mhm," you mumbled as you started cleaning King's office.

"Ah. Thanks for cleaning y/n, I was too tired to clean anyways." he said leaning on his chair. 

"It's no biggie." you shrugged.

"And y/n, Kaido sama said he wanted to see you."

"Me? Why?" you asked, obliviously  having no clue. 

"Yesterday many people betted high money on Bartholomeo. And when he lost, we received a huge amount of money. All thanks to you," King said smirking.

"Great. Now try to increase my payment too. my 'adoptive father' is getting insufferable these days"

"Really? You know you can move out right?"

"You don't know what all things he can do King. Just a few more years. Then I'll turn 18 and move from that hell house."

"You hate there that much?"

"Words can't express how much I hate it there."

"Mhm. I must get going now y/n. I have to meet with Queen and go to eat lunch after" king said standing up. He streched his arms and let out a yawn. 

"Oh Ok. See you later King."

King then nodded and grabbed his mask to put it on. 

Even after 2 hours, you were still cleaning.

Why can't they clean the place once in a while?

You started humming to distract your mind from being bored.
