“Killed? What are you talking about? How?!” she asked as she ran towards Geralt’s tent.

“He was stabbed.” The guard followed her as they reached the tent where everyone from camp was waiting as they all turned to look at Novera.

Novera walked to the entrance of the tent as she opened the tent and walked in as she saw things dropped on the floor, a few pieces of furniture broken and a few drops of blood on the carpets. She made it towards his bed and she saw him on the ground laying on his stomach with a knife in his back as blood stained his clothes.

For a moment there was silence but that silence was soon replaced with a scream of anger, pain and sadness. Novera dropped to her knees as she cried out in anger and pain.

Everyone outside of the tent lowered their heads feeling the pain she felt. For a solace hour Novera didn't come out of the tent. She couldn’t believe this was real. How could this happen? In her own camp. Who dared to do this? So many questions ran through her head and no answers were provided.

A guard entered the tent. “Lady Novera, we have to bury him, my lady it’s time.”

Novera said nothing, she just nodded and she stood up, her robe covered in blood and she walked out of the tent. Everyone from the camp saw Novera walking towards her tent and they could feel the anger in her soul and they could see it in her eyes.

Novera looked straight ahead as she walked into her tent as she bathed and got dressed to attend the funeral. She sighed softly as she stood at the entrance of her tent as she hesitated to leave her tent. She didn’t want to attend but she knew she had to. She had to say goodbye.

She gets ready to step out as the chest suddenly opens and a scroll floats out as she walks to the chest and reads the scroll.

“Time can not be revered. But a life can be spared at the fountain of life. The fountain is located high in the forbidden mountains. Once at the fountain place the one you have lost and restore their life.”

Novera’s face suddenly lit up as she had a chance to bring him back. She ran out of her tent as she went to the guards that were wrapping Geralt to stop what they were doing.

“My Lady we know your pain, we don't want him to be gone either but..”

“I can bring him back to life.” she said suddenly as they all looked at her surprised.

“How?” they asked.

“The Fountain of Life. If I put him in there he’ll come back to life.”

Novera gathered both Sir Engeram and Sir Carlton as she explained the situation.

“I understand you want him to be alive again but it’s not natural to bring a dead man back to life” Sir Engeram said.

“Though Geralt has helped everyone in the camp I say it’s worth a try. Where is the fountain located?” Sir Carlton asked.

“The forbidden mountains I’ll go on dragonback to get there” Novera said as she looked at them.

“You won’t be going alone, you'll need someone to go with you and protect you in case anything goes wrong” Sir Carlton said.

“I agree and I volunteer myself, Lady Novera.” Sir Engeram said.

“I wouldn’t want to risk your safety sir Engeram you are a member of my council” she said as she looked at him.

“As a member of the council I make it my mission to accompany you and make sure you get back safely” he said as he stood up and walked towards her as he kneeled down and pledged his sword to her.

“Very well Sir Engeram. I suggest you prepare for this journey.” Sir Engeram bowed his head as he left and went to prepare. Novera looked towards Sir Carlton. “I leave the camp to you till I return.” She said as she stood up.

“Of course, Lady Novera.”

Novera walked out of the council tent as she went to prepare. After gathering supplies she climbed onto Kogoss with Geralt's body while sir Engeram rode Viana.

“Hold on tight!” she told Sir Engeram as they took off from the camp. After a few hours of flying they reached the forbidden mountains.

They flew through and over the mountains as the dragons weren’t able to fly there where they needed to go

They flew through and over the mountains as the dragons weren’t able to fly there where they needed to go. So they landed as Novera got off and brought the sled they were going to use to carry Geralt’s body and Sir Engeram helped by pulling it. They climbed for an hour going through small areas and so on. The mountains were quite calm. It felt peaceful. “So do you really think this place exists?” Sir Engeram asked.

“Of course I saw it on a scroll from the chest so it must be real and we won’t rest till we find it.” Novera said.

“You really do care about him don’t you?”

“Of course I do. He completes me without him. I don't think I can continue.” she said as they kept walking.

They soon saw a light coming from a cave as they walked into it. The cave was lit by the sun peeking through a hole above them. Directly under the light laid the Fountain of Life.

“It really does exist,” Sir Engeram said as he looked at the fountain

“It really does exist,” Sir Engeram said as he looked at the fountain.

“Yes we found it!” Novera said as she was happy.

“You really did.” Sir Engeram said as he laid the sled down as he then smirked.

“I really can’t believe it is actually real, it seems those scrolls do lead to the sacred artifacts.” Sir Engeram said as he looked around the cave only seeing one way to get to the fountain.

“We’ll rest a bit and then go to revive Geralt. I can’t wait to have him with me again.” Novera said as she smiled and placed her hand on Geralt’s cheek.
