From a dream I never wanted to leave.

You said you loved me

And would never dream of hurting me.

You said it was real

When it was all a lie.

You made me think

That you wanted to try.

You didn't realise

How much I loved you.

You made me believe

That you loved me too.

I wanted us to be a team

Against all odds.

Our weird jigsaw pieces in place,

Yet you saw them flawed.

You gave me everything I dreamed

And you took me out of it.

You woke me up.

And you didn't realise the effect you had on me.
