Flashback on

He could feel the way the air seemed heavier as he stepped inside the big room, he'd been trying yo avoid for the last months. Looking around, he analyzed how the ceiling was as taller and dark as he remebered and the walls were covered with as much fungus as he could recall from the nightmares he'd been experiencing lately, making his heart beat faster as he now realized that was the moment he'd been fearing for weeks.

Nobody from the dozens of humans in that underground arena cared to look at him as he got inside, through the long and cold tube hallway that lead to that place, making him even more nervous, as he recognized how attentive they were while preparing. Most of those kids were older than him, were well built and look impressively scary as he walked past them, preparing themselves for the fight, either with push ups or simply rolling their straps around their hands.

He carefully tried to appear inexistent, yet some of them looked down at him, since they were all taller than him, with their dark and mischievous gazes, what made him progressively walk faster and hide in the back of the room where no one would see him.

Glancing at the top of the arena, he watched how the trainers observed the fighters from above, on the balcony made of conqry, such as the whole room. From afar, he could notice some familiar gazes, especially the one from his trainer, who glanced at him with a confident look.

He pressed his lips against each other, earring the sound of the trumpet echoing around, and seeing how the fighters lined up, preparing to be chosen. He quickly ran and put himself in the middle of them, receiving a mocking look from the ones at his side, who slightly chuckled at his appearance.

As the announcer started to mention names, he analyzed how the built men next to him prepared themselves and glanced at each other, since they now knew who they'd be facing.

'Jeon against Gilbert' as soon as he heard his name, his head instantly turned to face the girl on the other side of the line, who instantly rolled her eyes when she realized what the result was. His heart started beating faster and it was only when the names stopped and each pair started to gather around the arena, while having the back sound of cheating from above, that he realized it was time.

His feet carefully touched the floor, covered with the boots he'd received when he'd entered the company at that were way to small for him already.

'You should run kid, you'll be destroyed' One of the guys said when he walked past his form, making him look further and notice the well built body of the female standing in front of him, knuckling her fingers as she stared at him, with hunger.

He gulped, with his round big eyes slightly widened, seeing how she knew it would only take a punch for her to make him sleep. His head turned to the balcony again, to find the only familiar eyes, who smiled at him and tried to give him strength.

I can't do this He told himself as the trumpet played again, what made her start to walk in his direction, with small jumps, as if she was playing with him. He felt his hands sweaty and his belly making turns as she got closer and he stood, frozen. She chuckled before she suddenly attempted to hit him, what made him instantly escape, afraid of being hurt.

She narrowed her eyes, annoyed by him, and tried to do the same again, harshly throwing her fist on his direction, which he also escaped, by hitting her forearm and sliding under her legs, kicking her knee from behind unconsciously. For his surprise, she groaned in pain and kneeled on the floor, making everyone suddenly cheer surprisedly.

He watched her, both worried at what he'd done to her and scared of her reaction, and mindlessly looked at his trainer once again, trying to figure out what to do. When their eyes met again, he saw how his were worried and suddenly widened, but he couldn't reach enough since he suddenly felt a sharp pain on his stomach, followed by one of the head and other on the arm, ...
