Sent to Bron: We need to talk. Meet me at the house.Beyoncé nervously pressed send before sitting her phone down. After lunch, Jay had convinced her to go the studio with him for an artist he was friends with. During one of their many talks, she had told him how much she loved music and her hidden talent of singing. Being a former musician and producer himself, Jay was always trying to find ways to get her in the studio.
At first she declined, in fear that she may be recognized by someone, but somehow she ended up in the studio. In all reality, she didn't really put up a fight because she just wanted an excuse to not go home and face her soon to be ex-husband.
When it started to get late, she decided she might as well bite the bullet and finally talk with Lebron. Not even a minute after she sent the text, she got a notification from him.
Bron: k.
She pulled into their garage, seeing that all of their cars were home. That must've meant either Lebron was already here or he was on his way with the driver.
The house was quiet except for the sound of the TV blasting from the living room, so she knew he was already home. She sighed and was reminded of all the times she told him not to do that.
"Man, what the fuck are y'all doing?... Bro no cover over there!"She found him playing some video game on his PlayStation. He had a whole soundproof room dedicated for this very reason but somehow always found himself in the living room making a ruckus.
She cleared her throat, bring his attention to her.
"Hold on y'all I'll be right back." He paused the game and took his headset off. "Hey Bey."
"Hey... how many times have I told you not to have the set so loud? I could've been anybody sneaking in."
"Please with as much as we pay for security, if someone got in they deserve to."
"Why are you out here anyway?"
"You know the screen is better in here. Besides I wasn't planning to even play both at long."
She rolled her eyes before sitting on the couch next to him. She noticed he didn't even try to hug or kiss her, despite not seeing her much in the last few weeks. Then she remembered they weren't even on speaking terms during that time. That alone confirmed her that she was making the right decision.
She tried to start their conversation on a light note so it wouldn't be so awkward. "Good job on the game the other day. You and the boys seemed so in sync."
"Yeah the coaches really made sure we were locked in, especially for the Celtics and the roster they have this year."
"Well I'm proud of you." She said genuinely. If she felt nothing else for him, she would always be proud of how far he was able to go with his dream.
