Jazlyn was standing alone, surrounded by darkness. In her hand she held her blue saber, which was her only illumination. Just a single blade of light holding the night at bay.

She was joined by seven teenagers, all of them holding lightsabers. The first two were a boy and a girl bearing purple and green blades. There was also a young woman who was standing next to Jazlyn with a hand on her shoulder, with a yellow one. The next duo seemed to blend in with the void. They were a girl and a young man wearing black and holding red lightsabers, the young man holding a cross-guard one. The final two bore remarkable resemblance to each other, as if a brother and sister and they were holding an orange and blue lightsaber respectively.

The light from their swords pushed the shadow away, and their circle of brightness grew.

Kera woke up.

Deep inside she felt this was no ordinary dream.

"Why would the Force show me this?" She whispered to herself. She thought deeply, and when she discovered the reason, a gentle peace settled over her.

"The Force is showing me this to tell me...she won't be alone."

Jazlyn also dreamed that night.

She saw she was in a poorly lit room. It was old, with patched up cracks along the walls, and dust all over the ground.

She looked up and saw a person, a man by the looks of it, wearing a blue helmet with glowing red eyes towering over her. She turned to look behind her and saw Kera with bleeding wounds on her arms.

"Kera!" Jazlyn called, but neither the man nor Kera seemed to hear her.

"I'm not telling you anything." She heard Kera say. The man raised his hand and the girl saw a glint of sharp metal held within it. Jazlyn tried to run forward to stop him, but she couldn't. She couldn't move away from where she stood. She could only watch as he brought his hand down.

Jazlyn awoke with tears streaming down her face.

"Kera...no, that can't happen. I hope that was just a dream. It has to be..." She pressed her face against her pillow and cried.

In the morning Kera and Jazlyn walked to the hangar. Together they got Kera's ship, an A-wing starfighter, ready and together they loaded the supplies. Then came the dreaded moment. It was time to say goodbye.

"Jazlyn, don't be afraid to make new friends, ok? I know you had a bad experience when you were younger but not everyone is like that. There are a lot of great people out there that would be great friends with you." Kera said gently. Jazlyn nodded.

"Kera, be careful. Please! I'm kinda worried about you..." Jazlyn said. Worry still clouded her mind from her dream.

"Of course, I'll be careful." Kera reassured her, "Don't worry, ok?"

"Ok..." Jazlyn said quietly, "If you ever need help, call me."

Kera nodded. Jazlyn hugged Kera and she hugged her back. Kera felt her friend's hands were extremely cold, impossibly cold. She knew now that the colder Jazlyn's hands were, the more emotional she was.

"Hey, it's going to be fine." Kera whispered.

"I hope so." Jazlyn replied. Kera let go and climbed into her ship.

Jazlyn spoke the words passed down the centuries by the Jedi. The token phrase of goodwill. "May the Force be with you."

"And with you!" Kera smiled. The cockpit canopy closed, the ship lifted into the air and flew away.

Jazlyn watched her friend's starfighter leave. A single tear slid down her face. After a little while she took a deep breath. "It's Saturday, I'll go home. Maybe I can practice with Marcus too." She said softly to herself. She wiped her eyes and went to a ship. She got in and flew home.
