"Yo, Seren!" James says as he hops on the couch beside Serena. She seems to be busy with some paperwork as she sighs, "What brings you here?"
"Oh, c'mon! I'm just bored." He says as he acts sulky. She chuckles, "Guess Henry and Eleanor are together now, right?"
James' eyebrows twitch as he looks away dully. Serena looks at him and realises that she shouldn't have said that.
"Sorry, I didn't realise what I was saying..." She says as he sighs, "It's fine... I just don't wanna think about them..."
She nods as she continues her work, "So, where are Jack and Evonne? The usual?"
James chuckles, "Yeah, both are at the Callista's. Even though I'm the eldest, I'm the only one who is wandering around unlike them, enjoying with their lovers."
He pouts as she chuckles, "The Callista's are having quite a few visitors... Evonne, Jack and Selena, all three."
James nods in agreement as they both laugh.
She then asks, "So, how is the Marquess doing? Any improvements?" James smiles, "Yeah... Father can now move around without any support. But I still don't want him to work, so I still manage his duties."
He grins, "Today there wasn't much to do, so I came here, rather than going to the palace. Cuz I know that Eleanor doesn't need me anymore..."
He sighs as she looks at him, "Cheer up, buddy. People forget their closest ones once they're with their lovers... But it doesn't mean that they forget you completely or that they don't love you anymore. It's just that when you spend time with your favourite person... you tend to forget your surroundings."
"When did you get these motivational thoughts, huh?" James says while they both chuckle as she says, "I just get these thoughts when I see you sulking."
James sighs as he leans his head on her shoulder, "Don't get a lover, Seren..." She stops her work as he continues, "Cuz you're my only escape from reality now..."
There's a pin drop silence for a minute before Serena decides to speak up, "Don't worry, James. I'm not getting a lover... not so soon..."
"Thanks... Seren." He mumbles as he closes his eyes while she gets back to the paperwork.
Soon, James opens his eyes and looks at her as she seems quite caught up in her work. He sighs as he thinks he's bothering her and gets up to leave, "Looks like you're busy. I should get going."
Serena immediately pulls him back, "Stay here. I'll be done in a few minutes. We can go to the night festival then."
"Night festival?! Yes! I can't wait!" James says as he sits beside her happily. Serena chuckles as she continues her work, "Cute..."

"Woah, it looks even more fun this year..." James says as he looks around the area with his mouth wide open.
Serena chuckles as she closes his mouth, "Good thing we can wear these masks. Otherwise the people would get to see the future Marquess playing around."
"Oh c'mon, we haven't come here to put on the noble act, have we?" James says as he pulls Serena's arm, "The food from that shop smells good, let's try it!" Serena chuckles as James drags her.

"Mmhm! Check this out!" James says as he shoves the cookie inside Serena's mouth. "Jam- mmph!" Serena glares at him as he laughs while looking at her puffy face.
"You look so cute right now, Seren." He chuckles as he eats the remaining cookies and looks around. "He just called me cute... didn't he?" Serena thinks as she looks at him blankly, feeling tingles.
"I must say, It did taste good..." She says as she finishes munching the cookie. "Of course it would, I selected it." James says as he winks at her while she rolls her eyes playfully and chuckles.
"Oh, oh! They're dancing!" James points towards the centre of the street as Serena looks at couples dancing together happily.
"Seems fun..." Serena says as James chuckles, "Well, why don't we experience that fun?" Serena looks puzzled, "What do you mean?"
"We have feet too!" James says as he pulls Serena and rushes off towards the centre where everyone was dancing.
"James, you!" Serena scoffs as he chuckles, "Oh c'mon, don't be the boring Lady Serena Roden." He says as he pulls her by her waist and holds her hand, ready to dance.
"I want my party-lover Seren right now." He says as he grins cheekily. Serena stares at him as she then let's out a sigh and chuckles, "Party-lover Seren at your service."
They both laugh heartily as they dance alongside the commoners, without any worry about their identity.
