We decided to wait till it got darker so it would be "more awesome" as Jace said. So we are all in the living room watching the Avengers. The movie just finished and we told Bryce and Bella that we were going up stairs to do a project for school and that they can choose an appropriate movie. Once they did we went upstairs to get ready.
Jace had these masks from past Halloweens. One was like a scary mask type one and the other one was Jason mask with a machete with fake blood on it too. So we put on all black (I just borrowed some clothes from Jace) and put our masks on and went to a different part of the house where the breaker is at and it's conveniently where we can see the living room. It's basically around the corner from the balcony which allows us to see the living room.
We made the lights flicker on and off in the living room for about 30 seconds, then turned them completely off. We herd Bella scream. Now I feel bad. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
I tapped on the back of his shoulder. "Maybe we shouldn't scare them to much." I said.
He gave me a confused look. "Why not?" He asked. "Because they're like five and I don't want them going and telling on us. I don't think that your parents would appreciate scaring the crap out of your sister." I pointed out. I mean I don't want his parents to hate me or Bella for that matter. C'mon she's only five and I know that Bryce would get over it in a matter of seconds but he would defiantly be scared.
"Fine," Jace sighed obviously disappointed that I backed out. "what do you want to do then?"
"Let's just take off the masks and go behind them and scream, then run back up stairs and act like nothing happened. Something simple, but scary and they'll get over it in a few minutes." We had this whole plan that we were going to use the blue tooth speaker in the living room and play some creepy noises and flicker the lights some more then stomp down the stairs and then sneak into the living room and it being pitch black they couldn't see us so we was going to get really close to their face and with the flash lights turn them on, scream, then back away, while they scream their heads off. So basically traumatizing them till they're thirty-five.
Jace sighed, again. "Fine, lets go." We took our masks off and set them back in his closet. I gave him a smile and said thank you. He just smiled back. As we went down stairs you could hear them talking about what to do. We were right behind the couch and Jace held up three fingers as a count down.
He got to one and I shook Bryce's shoulder and screamed as high pitched as I could go and Jace went as high as he could go which wasn't that high by the way. That motion was quick, so we immediately went back upstairs and turned the lights back on from the breaker, then we went back into Jace's and sat there in front of computer like we were working on a project. He pulled up google and typed in George Washington and pulled up the first website.
Not even a minute later Bryce and Bella came busting through the door with scared looks on their face. Then they started to talk at once. "Whoa, whoa calm down. What happened? Ya'll look like you just saw your grandma naked." Jace said trying to calm them. I looked over him and gave him a weird look. Bryce and Bella was just waiting for him to notice me looking at him weirdly.
"Well? Aren't ya'll going to tell me?" He asked. I figured that he wasn't going to notice to I slapped his arm to get his attention. "Ow!" He yelled in fake pain.
"Really? That's the best analogy you could think of?" I asked him.
"What's wrong with that one?" He asked confused.
"It was inappropriate." I stated. He rolled his eye's and asked the them what had happened. They went on about their story and at the end of it they were asking if they could sleep in our rooms tonight.
We just laughed a little. "Guys nothing like that is scary the lights were just going bad or something." Jace explained to them. They looked so terrified I kinda felt bad
"Well what about the people that scared us?" Bryce asked looking at us. I wanted to just tell them the truth. They were smarter than we thought. I thought we would tell them it was nothing to worry about and then they would forget about it with a persuasion of ice cream. But I guess they wanted to be detectives about it. They weren't even scared about it anymore, they just wanted to know who did it.
"I don't know. But I do know that it's getting late and I'm sure dad wants us to come home tonight and eat dinner. I think he's making tater tot casserole, your favorite." I said giving him a smile.
He sighed, knowing that I've won him over. He loved dad's tater tot casserole. Something he couldn't resit. "Come on let's go home before dad worries and eats all of it." Bryce said and started to walk down stairs. Bella started to follow Bryce telling him to wait up.
I sighed. "I guess we're going to head out." I said to Jace standing up from his desk chair. Today was fun besides telling Jace about what happened. I don't like getting all serious. Instead of getting all upset about what happened that day I just laugh it off. Everything happens for a reason. If that all didn't go down then I wouldn't have met Jace and we wouldn't be such good friends. And I'm glad I had a guy friend because it may be cheesy but it's true some girls are way to much drama. I know not all girls. But I don't even know how to make friends so it's okay, I've got Jace as a friend and that's all I could ask for as a friend.
