Cathy was not one to enjoy her lavish lifestyle. The extravagant mansions, the expensive cars, the private jets; it was all meaningless to her. She had never asked for any of it. Her family had forced her into an arranged marriage with Sebastian, a man she hardly knew and didn't particularly care for. Sebastian, on the other hand, was the quintessential playboy; charming, handsome, and utterly irresistible. He was from a very powerful family, and it seemed that everyone in their circle was under the impression that their marriage was nothing more than a match made in heaven. The truth, however, was that Cathy felt trapped and unloved.
She was sitting at a balcony overlooking the vast estate grounds, sipping on a glass of wine, when she felt Sebastian's presence behind her. His fingers brushed against her shoulder, sending a shiver down her spine. He leaned in close, his breath tickling her ear, and whispered, "I've been meaning to talk to you, my dear."
