Part 8: Rivalships last forever

Caitlin's pov

I put my key into the lock and open the door to my house. I couldn't even get inside and the girls already rushed in and ran into the spare room I had. I chuckled and walked in and locked the door behind me. I walk into the kitchen and sit on a chair.

"Hey girls!" I shout from the kitchen. "What would you like to eat?" I ask but instead of replying they run into the kitchen in super speed.

"Actually" Gwen starts saying.

"Could we cook something for you today?" Mirai ends her sentence. They act like they are twins I think to myself.

"Oh... sure I guess." I say and head to my couch. "But don't burn my kitchen!" I shout jokingly sitting down.

"Yes ma'am." They reply and laugh.
I turn on the tv and watch singin' in the rain. After some time the girls are done and call me to the kitchen. I get up from my chair and head to the kitchen. There I see the girls sitting at the table with 3 plates on it with pancakes.

"Are those?" I start saying curious and sit down.

"Yes those are Barry's pancakes." Mirai answers.

"How did you get the recipe? He wouldn't even give it to me!" I say laughing.

"Oh don't worry eventually he will give it to you too" Gwen assures her laughing aswell.

"It'll be like a dream come true" I say and all 3 of us laugh. While we are laughing I see Mirai hide something in her purse. Something that looked like a book. I decide to ask about it later and we begin to eat. Those really do taste like Barr's pancakes.

When we were done eating we decide to head to Star Labs together.

"Can we run there?" Gwen asks me.

"Pleeeaase?" Mirai adds.

"Sure" I reply. The look in their eyes is so familiar and I just can't say no to them. It almost looks too familiar.

Gwen's pov.

Me and my sister speed into the cortex with our mom to see dad sitting in the cortex looking through some files.

"Hey dad, what are you working on?" I ask him.

"Oh hi girls hi Cait, I was just trying to find anything I can about Ava. Some things about her don't add up and I thought that figuring it out will help us defeat her." My dad replies.

"I can help you with that. What are you trying to find about her?" I ask my dad ready to help.

"Things like how is Eddie still alive and what did she mean when saying about my daughters." He answers and both me and my sister freeze in place hearing the last part.

"What about your daughters? I already told you I have a twin sister." I respond after some time trying to get him away from digging further.

"She said which one of them told me about her." He replies ruining my hopes of him letting it go. "You said she is a speedster too right? Did she go back in time with you?" He adds after some time

"Yes she is a speedster but I left her in 2039." I reply. "I didn't even know that Mirai ran back with me until we found out about her.
"How exactly is Mirai a speedster?" He asks continuing to push harder and harder. Me and my sister start to get really nervous as we don't know how to explain to our dad this whole situation. Suddenly to our relief the metahuman alarm goes off and both of us sigh in relief and thank the annoying alarm for saving us.

"Saved by the bell!" I say giggling and run over to the screens in the Cortex.

"We are continuing this conversation later." Barry says pointing his finger first at Mirai and then at me.

"I totally agree" Caitlin adds and walks over to her chair.

"What are we dealing with, Cisco?" Our dad asks clearly upset about us hiding something.

"There's a speedster in Lawrence Hills attacking civilians and policeman." Cisco says.

"Ava..." I say and put on my suit and run to the place not waiting for the rest of the team.

I get there and see Ava standing.

"I've been waiting for you, Gwen" Ava says to me.

"Do not call me that Ava" I say hurling my hand into a fist.

"OR WHAT?" She says with laughter.

"Or this." I say and run at her

So this is it. I am terribly sorry for taking forever to write this part but I broke my hand and I couldn't really write and stuff. As always all the feedback will be appreciated. And I will see you guys in the next 1.
