Z-ARC's POV
'Where... Am I?' I thought as I opened my eyes to see that I was in some sort of space-like abyss. The last thing that I could remember was getting split into 4 by the En Cards & Ray...
Ray! Oh, now I feel extremely awful for what I did. Ravaging the city, defeating all my opponents, giving the crowd bloodlust, what they wanted... It made me want to curl into a ball & cry.
"What have I done..." I said, tears of sadness spilling from my eyes as I held my head in my hands. "I've been a monster..."
"Z-ARC..." A new voice said. Unlike mine, this one was female, & held a soothing sensation inside it. I opened my eyes to see a truly majestic creature towering over me, & my mouth went dry.
She was wearing golden armor with blue orbs in the armor's shoulder plates, had white skin, & the most notable part were her wings. Yes, wings. Metallic golden wings the same color of her armor, & my mind flashed back to a lesson in Duel History. Apparently, an Egyptian Pharaoh -I think his name was Atem- summoned this monster to fight against Zorc Necrophades- an ancient Egyptian evil that was released by Bakura the Thief King in order to get revenge several years after the Battle Of Kul Elna.
"A-Are you..." I stammer, shocked. "Yes. I am Holactie, the Creator of Light. I saw what had happened to you, & I've managed to pull out your soul from your body." 'Talk about an out-of-body experience...' I think. "Why am I here? I deserve to rot in Tartarus for what I did... Ravaging the city, becoming a cruel & ruthless tyrant... Should I go on?" I ask, clearly bitter over my past misdeeds.
"I'm giving you a second chance, Z-ARC. A chance to change things." I hold a hand over my mouth. "You mean... I can go back home?" I say. The goddess shook her head. "No. I said that I'm giving you a chance to change things." My arms fall to my sides as I remember the En Cards. "Right. The En Cards." I deadpan. "You can't reverse their effects?" The goddess nodded, confirming my suspicions. "Thought so. You said something about having a chance to change things?"
Instantly, differing memories from my own entered my mind, & I held my head afterwards in pain, a headache worming its way in. "Ow." I say as I take a minute to think. "Wait... Did I just receive memories of my fragments? And why is Anti with my Fusion fragment?" I say, massaging my temples with a hand. "I gave you a copy of each of your fragments' memories, both past, present, & future. This way, you're prepared for what comes next."
I nodded, feeling the headache go away. "I see. And I take it my Deck's been given a rework? My overpowered Supreme King monsters would be a dead giveaway." Holactie nodded as my Duel Disk's Deck gave off a glow. Taking it out & looking at it, I see that my Deck is now a purified variant of my Demon Deck. "Thank you, Creator of Light." I bow in respect as a golden glow then came from the goddess. "I'm sending you to the Standard Dimension! Good luck!" The glow then intensified as I brought a hand to my eyes to block out the light.
-Standard Dimension - Local Park-
I blinked & rubbed my eyes to see that I was in a park, my hands now being covered by my signature brown gloves that I wore & my outfit that I had on before I became the Demon Duelist on my body. I then saw a white Duel Disk on my right arm, explaining the weight, a Deck already inserted. Yes, I'm left-handed.
I saw a tower with the initials 'LDS' on it in the distance, & I can tell that it's a Duel School. Looking at my reflection in my Duel Disk's screen, I can see that my eyes are heterochromatic. My left eye is glistening gold while my right is shimmering silver. I also have a green earring in the shape of a pendant on my left ear.
