It was night time, and Stephanie, Nathan, Dick, Tim, Zee, and Jessica were helping Babs unpacking her things.
Jessica: Where do you want this lamp?
Babs: Oh, over there.
Zee: dnoura sith evlover ["around this revolve" with each word reversed] Well, what do you think?
Babs: I... [yelling] LOVE IT! [hugs them] It's even better than my old room. I'm starting to think Metropolis just might, sort of, possibly be kind of a little bit better than Gotham. [squealing]
Dick: [walks in the room with the others] We're back.
Jessica: [notices another box] Whoops, looks like we forgot one. [creates construct hand and brings it over to Babs]
When Babs opened it up, she pulled out some bat doll and seemed to be sad.
Jessica: Is something wrong?
Ben: You okay, Babs?
Babs: No. It just that I'll never forget that beautiful summer's day in Gotham City.
[flashback]
[people screaming]
[cat meowing]
[helicopter whirring]
Young Babs: [notices Bat signal] [gasp] This is it, Bat Mite, old buddy, old pal. Tonight, we show Batman what we got. [puts helmet on] Tonight, we can not be denied. Tonight, we finally joined Team Bat.
Walkie talkie: Batman, this is Commissioner Gordon. We're on our way, but you may have to stop the robbery on your own.
However, the young Barbara seemed to be on her bike, heading off to the see of the crime herself.
Young Babs: Not if I can help it.
[grunting]
[gasp]
[dramatic music playing]
That's when she saw Batman, much to her amazement! But then, he grappled away!
Young Babs: Wait, come back! You forgot your new teammate.
Robin/Young Dick: He's already got a teammate. What are you doing here? Is that your little dolly?
Young Babs: Bat Mite's no dolly, he's my sidekick. My backup. [yells] He's the bomb!
Robin/Young Dick: This isn't a game. Look, if you want Batman to make you part of our team, stop acting like everything is a game. Trust me. I believe you will be a great hero in the future. [grapples away]
Young Babs blushes. That's when the commissioner arrived, seeing his heartfelt daughter.
Commissioner Gordon: Barbara, what are you doing here?
Young Babs: Dad?
Commissioner Gordon: [hugs her] It's okay, honey. Oh, this is all my fault. I never should have agreed to work in such a horrible, crime-ridden place.
Young Babs: But dad
Commissioner Gordon: Someday, I'm gonna to get you outta here, Barbara. Gotham City is no place for a family.
[flashback ends]
Babs: So, after that, I worked and practiced and studied, improving my skills to get Batman to notice me. But then, we moved away before it could. And now...
Jessica: And now you have us.
Zee: Not only that, a girls' night out at Sweet Justice.
Nathan: And?
