~Lucy's POV~
I was walking back from the Magic store. Another out-of-luck trip. Instead of finding a new celestial key like I hoped, that perv of a store clerk tried to flirt me up. He didn't even offer anything interesting as a bribe."Geez. I don't see why they had to move the store to the other side of town. Now I have to walk like 20 minutes to get back to my own house!"
I sighed at the thought of total boredom for that long of a walk. Lucky enough that I brought my bag with me and it had a bunch of magic magazines that I could read. I took one out and scanned though it. These were my favorite. They had so many wizards that I looked up to. Some were amazingly beautiful and others were super talented at what they did. I was so into reading that I didn't look where I was going. All of a sudden, I felt myself crash into another person and I was on the ground in pain. My vision was slightly blurred so I couldn't really see who it was.
"Ooowwww. Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I wasn't even looking where I was going!" I apologized.
"It's alright. I wasn't really looking either." a familiar voice said.
I was still on the ground picking up everything that fell out of my bag. When I was done I looked up and I immediately recognized the handsome face with his cute, pink, spiky hair.
"Oh hey Luc'! Are you alright? Here."
He reached his hand out and I took it. He slowly pulled me up off my feet.
"Yeah. I'm alright. My butt kinda hurts though. Haha. Thanks Natsu."
I gave him a slight smile and he gave his signature adorable one back. Man, he was cute. I started to develop a crush on him ever since that whole Deliora thing from the S-Class job we took. Something about him just made me fall in love. Was it the way he always protected me, or maybe the fact that he always enjoyed being around me no matter how insane I was? Whatever it was, I couldn't deny the fact that I absolutely loved him.
"So where are you going anyways? Maybe I could accompany you. I'm not really doing anything anyways." he said.
"Oh. I'm just coming back from the magic shop. I was hoping to get a new key but I lucked out. And since they moved it to the other side of town it takes a while for me to walk back. So sure, it'd be nice to have company. Thanks again!"
He grinned and ruffled up my hair.
"Sure! Anything for my favorite Celestial Wizard!"
I blushed at that. Even though I knew there weren't really that many celestial wizards around, it still made me happy he said that. Suddenly he stepped in front of me.
"Eh? What is it?" I asked confused.
"Oh nothing. I was just on my way back from a jewelry store and thought I'd get this for you."
He held up a a long jewelry box and handed it to me. I took it and opened it. Inside was a necklace. The chain was shiny, perfect silver. And in the middle was a small golden key with a ruby in the center of it. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen!
"Natsu! For me? You shouldn't have!"
He smiled at my reaction.
"Yeah, but I did. Do you like it?"
I looked at him with awe.
"Like it? I love it! It's so beautiful! How much was it? And why were you in a jewelry shop anyways?"
He looked down at his feet, and I could see a small blush creep to his cheeks.
"Eh. Both of those answers don't really matter. What matters is that you like it, and I'm glad."
He then looked up and gave me the cutest and most genuine smile I ever saw. I could feel my face heat up so much. He took the necklace from my hand and went behind me to put it on. The slight feeling of his fingers brushing against the back of my neck gave me chills. When he was done he came back in front of me. I looked down at the golden key as it laid on my chest.
"You look beautiful." he said with a low resonance.
At that moment I blushed so much that I had to cover my face with my hand. I smiled.
"Thank you so much. I'm so happy."
I jumped up and gave him a big hug. He returned it.
"No problem."
We started to walk back. We talked about funny things that happened lately and occasionally joked about Gray's stripping habit. The walk went by faster than I thought and I soon found myself in front of my place.
"Thanks for walking me back Natsu. It was fun. And thanks so much for the necklace. I don't know how to repay you."
He grinned and waved his hand at me.
"Nah. That's ok. I was just feeling generous today."
I thought for a second and had an idea.
"There is something I could give you right now I guess."
He looked slightly surprised and shrugged.
"Sure. What is it?"
I grabbed his hand and slowly brought my face to his, landing a gentle kiss on his cheek. After I pulled away, I could see the blush rising to both his cheeks and as I let go of his hand he brought it up to the back of his neck and awkwardly started rubbing it.
"Uh. Th-thanks. That works I-I guess."
I chuckled slightly and he did too. Once he was back to normal he ruffled my hair and smiled at me.
"Today was fun, Lucy. We should hang out more. How about tomorrow? I can come over at about 2:00 P.M."
I grinned with anticipation.
"Sure! I'd love that! See you then!"
We waved goodbye to each other. I walked through the door, closed it behind me, and leaned against it.
'Wow' I thought 'I can't believe I just did that. His cheek was so soft too.' I shook off the thought and got serious.'Tomorrow we have to have to much fun. I can't wait. Maybe I'll invite a few other friends to join to, so it won't be too awkward. Gray, Levy, and Loke. Yeah, this'll be fun.'
~Natsu's POV~
'Wow. Lucy's lips were so soft. I hope we'll have fun tomorrow. I hope I can confess to her soon. I feel like I can't hold this in anymore. I'm just scared of what she'll say. For now, I just have to make her as happy as I can!'
