The Living Maze

Omniscient POV

Could you imagen a future where the earth becomes a living jungle? If not, let me tell you that there are thousands of universes that do actually have that future. Having to survive in a place that can kill you and that can wove on its own would be an extremely difficult task to accomplish. For a  normal human that is a death sentence because of the wild animal, the vines that move on their own, and the unusual setting they are in. But for a ημίθεος that only means a near death experience.

Time: Midnight
Setting: Earth, Jungle (1,032)

In the planet that one day was called Earth and was now a deadly jungle, a portal appeared out of nowhere and out of that portal 4 figure fell out. The 4 figures looked like teenagers of 17-15 years old. They slowly got up and started looking around. There were 2 boys and 2 girls with a face that demonstrated annoyance.

Without a warning a wild tiger came out of the tall trees and attacked them. One of the girls quickly reacted and a sword appeared on her hand which she used to kill the tiger with no hesitation at all.

"Well, that was a really warm welcome." The girl that killed the tiger said with evident sarcasm.

"Judging by this, we should stay alert in case another animal decides to attack us." A male voice said, completely ignoring the girl's comment.

The girl looked at the boy, it was clear that she was offend for being ignored. The girl had dark shiny hair, her eyes were a light bright red with a star pupil, and her skin was pale but not a sickly pale. She was wearing a red with gold colored dress and a skirt that was long-sleeved and white stockings that reached to her knees along with black shoes.

The boy on the other hand also had black shiny hair, his eyes were an onyx black, and his skin was pale but less than the girl's skin. He was wearing a light gray hoodie that was wrapped around his waist, a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, and he had some black pants with red shoes.

The boy didn't even looked at her but he still knew that she was offended and he didn't care. He looked around and turned to face the was besides the red-eyed girl.

"Hana, do you think you can use your powers or magic to lead us around the jungle and find the portal?" The boy said with a calm voice.

"I don't think so Daniel, my father blocked the majority of my powers and Magic as a punishment and only kept the ones that are necessary to defend myself..." The girl named Hana answered with a disappointed   tone in her voice while avoiding looking at Daniel's eyes.

The boy now identified as Daniel looked disappointed for the answer but started thinking on what to do.

Hana was a girl with toxic purple eyes,  slight dark green hair, and slight pale skin. She was wearing a black with purple colored one side long-sleeved blouse and a skirt. She also had white stockings that reached to her knees along with light purple shoes.

Than suddenly the other boy touched Daniel's shoulder. He turned to look at the boy and raised an eyebrow as asking what he needed.

"I can lead the way around the jungle and locate the portal." The boy said, his voice coming as a low and slow whisper.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to get hurt while trying to do so." Daniel asked with a worried tone to which he received a nod.
