"The base was mapped outside the Lapiz Coral Pack. It was abandoned 6 years ago, as a part of the Healer's Clan," Ro made it clear, making everyone who sat at the table watch his narratives.

The table was as large as the room, alongside having a monitor with intel boards beside it. The windows were dark, with no sight of the outside world.

The vision boards were covered, not revealing any information. Guess it was a formality that packs do. Or so Azalea thinks.
"Tiger managed to sieze them before our team arrived." He continued, making Azalea take in all the faces around her.

There sat Ro, Dion, and Ares. She was surprised to see him after so long, Ares momentarily passed glances towards her in between Ro's briefing. She assumed he would avoid her as much as possible since his own pack detained him cause of her.
But when she'd meet his eye, he would only offer pitiful looks. She innately felt bad.

She waved at him at the entrance with a soft grin. He returned with a gentle nod.
This was good enough for now.

Azalea observed her way into this room. There were cameras everywhere, even bathrooms. She couldn't look at him without getting suspected. It's odd enough to have her wear a mask in an important building.

She identified this place as the original HQ of the Shadow Moon Pack, the one which Zane's parents operated for 11 years, when they were the Gods. After Zane became the Alpha at the age of 10, the system, location, army, everything changed.

The original building was as intimidating as his base. Only with more people on the edge.

None of the brothers or Nyx were casually dressed anymore. They had chips on them, never uttering a word to anyone in the pack. They relied on mind-linking, which Azalea was deprived off, but she picked up on cues to get by.

Only her and him were set apart, wearing something casual.

By nature, she was also now part of the cabinet of Zane until the time she'd be announced as their Luna.

She had no maladaptive keen on the role of Luna.

And frankly, she did not want to think about it.

Azalea sat away from him.

She wanted to be angry with him after his brazen kindness. She knew she'd anyways be told to sit anywhere but near him.
Before anyone could say that, she briskly passed him and sat on one of the initial seats before the meeting started.

He knew that.

He controlled his mouth.

You'd think they should be able to be themselves in front of the power cabinet.
The answer is no.

Azalea had to follow the paged instructions everywhere outside the castle. That includes in front of the people who were on her side during the trial.

She could live with that.

But Beda made it harder otherwise.

They went over all the details of the people who converted from King Clan to Knight Clan. All those 1.5 million displaced people. It took 4 hours. The paperwork was abhorrent. The party rather focused on the real matter.

"Most locations we got from the 3 contacts were in the barren fields of the Healers. It has become a pool for conspiracy." Dion scowled to himself.

"At least Tiger is having all the fun." Ares mumbled to himself while playing with a pen on the table.

Ro facepalmed at him.

"We're doing something serious, brother." Ro scolded.

"Sitting in a room while he gets to kill people is fun? Okay."
