NOVA DAVIS AND MATT STURNIOLO used to be best friends until a major disagreement happened between them back in their junior year, resulting in them both hating each other. none of their friends ever knew what happened; all they knew was that the pair were now always at each other's throats, throwing insults and constantly trying to one-up each other.
their friends didn't exactly know that, at one point, nova and matt were more than friends . . .
it's been three years now since they both graduated high school. and nova thanks the stars literally every single day that she's parted ways with her ex-best friend. now they only cross paths in the summer when nova is back in her hometown and one of matt's brothers or their best friend throws a party that neither of them can miss because it's apparently mandatory to attend.
