It's the next morning...

We are all seated at breakfast, it's a bit uncomfortable. There's unspoken tension in the air. There is no chatter between felix and ollie, and ollie doesn't even look my way. Farleigh and Elspeth were going on about a poet.

"What's going on with those two?" Venetia reaches over to me, and whispers. I look over to her, "i'm not quite sure." I lied. I really didn't wanna hear her opinion on this, I can't believe this is even happening. I love ollie and felix and i've never thought that i'd be a problem in their friendship.

Breakfast was over and I immediately was the first to get up and walked to my bedroom where I closed my door shut and locked it behind me. I didn't wanna be bothered today, so I changed into comfortable clothes and dug myself into bed. I grabbed my book from the nightstand and began to read. A couple flips later, I hear footsteps approaching. I quickly put my book away and pretended i was asleep.

*knock knock*

"Maeve, are you there?" I don't say anything. Silence, followed by another knock.  "Maeve come on, can we please talk." Silence again. I lay there not saying a word.

He must've left because I don't hear any more knocks or movement.

A couple hours go by, as I lay still wondering how could everything change so quickly. I don't think I have ever felt anything for him before. But now... I decide to get up and check on felix. I walked through our shared bathroom, and he was not in his room. I did not feel like looking for him so I went back to my bed and fell asleep.

The next day

I wake up, realizing it must've be the next day. I grab my phone from the night stand not realizing how late it was. I must've needed that sleep. I get up to brush my teeth and my hair and find my way to venetias room where she is sitting at her makeup vanity fixing her hair. Her eyes lit up as she sees me walk in.

"Cordelia!" She smiles, still playing with her hair.

"Hi venetia, care if i join."

"Come in come in."

"Getting ready for something?" I look at her confused as to why she has a full face of makeup on and her hair all pinned up. "Oh yes, mum is having some friends over and she had sent felix earlier to tell you about it." Fuck. That's the reason he was knocking on my door? Not because he wanted to see or actually talk to me... "Oh well I must've been asleep."

"Right, you both were probably boning each other and he forgot to tell you." She laughed, applying her 10th layer of mascara. "Uhm actually no, I was asleep. I actually haven't seen felix at all." I sit down on the edge of her bed, fidgeting with my fingers.

"What? at all? are you guys okay?"

I nod, awkwardly hoping she doesn't realize how flustered I feel. "Yeah yeah, uhm I might be avoiding him, actually just trying to avoid this whole oliver situation-." I stop myself, not realizing I haven't told her what had happened. I couldn't confess to her about how I feel for felix or how he might be, or not be into me. I am still confused about all of it, mostly because I don't want to seek for answers. She drops her mascara wand down and quickly turns to me, fascinated by what I had said. "Cordelia, what has been happening?"

"The other night I found out oliver fancies me, but I don't and..." I fade away as we hear footsteps approaching. "Venetia, have you spoken to-" Felix trails in stopping at the sight of me. His facial expression drops when he sees me. Venetias eyes focused on me. Then darting towards him, he stands there silent. "What felix? cordelia and i are chatting." She says, sounding annoyed. "Actually...cordelia can i actually speak with you." Cordelia? He never calls me that. Venetia and I look at each other and she smirks.

G O she mouths.

"Uh yeah uhm." We walk out of venetias room and felix closes the door behind me. I follow him down the hall, where he leads me to his room. Shutting the door, "So what was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Why have you been avoiding me?" He looks upset. I have never seen him like this, all flustered. He looks down at his feet waiting for my answer. "I haven't, i've just been resting." I lied. I genuinely did not want to ruin his and ollie's friendship by being around. "For two days?" He walks over to me, looking down at me. He grabs my hand and starts playing with my fingers. "I have, I've just been away in my room reading.. and sleeping." I look up at him, his face is so beautiful. I try to look away, but he places his hand onto my cheek facing me to look up at him. I can hear raindrops falling outside. I move his hand away and walk over to the window, I look onward, where all you can see is droplets forming into puddles. "Maeve I have missed you." I turn to look at him, "Me?".

"Yes, you." He looks at me with sorrowful eyes. "Or was- is this all one sided?"

The door opens, I quickly turn my head around to see who is was. Ollie walks in and I take a step back from felix. I can tell felix noticed my movement, when his eyes turned directly at me and shook his head.

"Oh uhm I'm sorry." Ollie says looking down.

"Ollie! you are all good." Felix responds, changing his facial expression. Shoving away all what he was feeling two seconds ago away like nothing had happened. "Are you guys going to be down there tonight?" Ollie asks, playing with his shirt. He looks a little nervous, I haven't seen ollie since breakfast the other day. "Yes we are." I say approaching him, "Nice to see you ollie." I crack a smile at him exiting the room. I quickly walk out of there, I didn't want to make things any more awkward then it needed to be, so I made my way to my room where I begin get ready.
