"What's your gender?"

"My gender?" Castiel asked, "I lost it in Heaven. They refuse to let me back in." True story. Castiel was simply too powerful to have it.

Castiel sighed, "God forgot to give me one." They looked down at their hands, "Instead, I have morality dilemmas on a daily." Silence fell between the questioner and Castiel.

"Do you want one? I have plenty to spare." The questioner politely declined.

"They ran out at the store. As well as pie." Castiel motioned for them to come closer and whispered, "I believe there is a connection." It looked around, "Don't tell anyone."

"I don't know. I follow the bees." Xe said looking out past the horizon, "They don't know either. They're bees."

"Trenchcoat," Castiel said patting her coat with a nod.

Castiel looked alarmed, "I wasn't informed I needed one, Sam?"

"Hmm?" Sam hadn't been paying attention.

"Do you have an extra gender I can borrow?" Sam looked a little confused, "I didn't bring one." Castiel clarified.

Sam looked around, "You can have mine?"

That's how they ended up sharing their gender.

"I gave mine to the Winchesters." Castiel leaned in closer, "It was divided unevenly. Sam got the bigger piece." It's true, Adam also managed to get a bigger piece than Dean. Dean is unaware.

"Yes." Truthfully, yes.

"Angel blade." Castiel showed them, indeed, angel blade. Good gender.

"I don't remember. Can I blame..." Ze thought about it, technically ze still has no clue what Naomi tampered with, "I think I can. I blame Naomi." In all fairness, it probably was Naomi. Or Chuck. Could have been a team effort.

Castiel answered before the sentence was fully out, "Protect the Winchesters." Bad gender in the sense of survival. You will die.

Castiel looked in the far distance, "I lost it. I also lost my wings." Void whispered in a conspiracy voice, "Do you think my wings were my gender?" The person shrugged, wings are very gender but were they void's gender? Who is to say?

Castiel sighed, "I traded it for a PB and J." The hunter looked very confused, "I was hungry." That didn't clear up any confusion, it simply added to it, "They needed some gender. I needed food. It wasn't a fun exchange." There was a nod exchange but for different reasons. Very different reasons.

Castiel was staring up at the clouds, "I lost my gender about when I lost my grace, is my gender in my grace?"

A sigh followed his question. "Is grace gender or is gender grace?" A good question that I cannot answer and neither could the frog Castiel had asked.

The frog didn't question his gender, Castiel was just ignoring Chuck.

Castiel shook its head, "This vessel only came with one gender."
