The boys played for a few hours, until hunger attacked them.. They decided to pause and go to the kitchen to see what they could find.. "I'm not eating that!" taehyung said eying jungkook up as they rummage through the cupboard.. "Why?" jungkook asked staring at the item on his hand.. "I hate pringles, spicy ones at that.." Jungkook grunted "I need real food kookie.." "Then make some cereals, I'm not your nanny" jungkook replied as he munched on his biscuits.. "REaL food.. I'm not a baby, besides I'm starving" taehyung argued.. Jungkook just shrugged.. "We have leftover rice, you can make kimbap" Taehyung groaned... "Let's make it together " "No" "Why" "I'm not eating " "Liar" "I'm not" "Are too" "Not" "You're probably lying about not eating so I could make it all by myself " Jungkook chuckled and headed for the refrigerator "See? I knew it" taehyung said as he started bringing out ingredients for kimbap.. Jungkook however poured two glass of fresh milk and handed one to taehyung.. "Thanks " tae muttered.. The duo gulped down the content and heaved a sigh.. "Refreshing " taehyung said looking at his empty glass "Why not eat the glass " kookie teased "Meanie" The doorbell rang... "I think my mom is back" The teens scurried to the living room, taehyung ahead of jungkook, making him be the one to open the door.. "Mrs Jeon! " "Tae" Mrs Jeon squealed, with her hands filled with grocery bags, taehyung engulfed the woman in a bear hug "Hmmm I missed your hugs" Mrs Jeon cooked "I guess I'm the odd one out, nobody cares about me, I'm a loner... Black sheep of the family.. I don't give the best hugs I guess" jungkook said as he tried to get the grocery bags from his mom's hands, taehyung and Mrs Jeon chuckled at jungkook s bickering as they untangled from each other.. "Your friend is one big jealous baby" Mrs Jeon said to taehyung "A horrible one at that" taehyung said nodding.. Mrs Jeon laughed at Taehyung's tease and spread her arms out for jungkook, jungkook didn't hesitate to engulf his mother in a hug "Hmmm my baby" Mrs Jeon cooed and kissed his cheeks, jungkook pulled taehyung in for a group hug.. "Oh, okayy, my babies" The trio laughed before untangling themselves.. Jungkook took the groceries to the kitchen while taehyung and Mrs Jeon sat next to each other talking about whatnot.. Few minutes later, jungkook came in sight.. "Oh kookie, I think I left something in the trunk.. Could you please get it for me?" Mrs Jeon asked batting her lashes at her son "Why me, you could have sent tae while I was in the kitchen, I'm tired.. Taehyung, you go" jungkook said as he collected the car key from his mom and threw it at taehyung... "I specifically sent you Jeon jungkook" Mrs Jeon said as he collected the key from taehyung and handed it to jungkook "Taehyung is a baby, don't stress him" Mrs Jeon said patting tae's head, taehyung stuck his tongue at jungkook before laying on Mrs jeon's laps..
Jungkook could do not but groan as he made slow steps to the door, not missing the stiffling laugh coming from his mom and best friend.. He forcefully opened the door and marched to the car.. He gasped as he opened the car trunk.. Was his eyes playing tricks on him? He dashed into the house just to grab taehyung "Wae! Wae! Wae!" taehyung exclaimed at the sudden jerk.. "Shut up and follow me, I think I've started seeing things" Jungkook said as he dragged taehyung out of the living room.. Taehyung's eyes widened.. "WE GOT A NEW BIKE!?" taehyung yelled, not hesitating to bring the bike out of the trunk...

"Daebak!" taehyung exclaimed awestruck.. "We got a new bike kookie" taehyung exclaimed again jumping excitedly, all the waves of hunger vanishing.
Meanwhile jungkook was hit with waves of emotions, yes he asked for this, but he didn't expect him mom to go all out for him, tears welled up in his eyes.. Is there any reason not to love his mom in this world? She's his everything.. Taehyung wrapped his arms around him, that was when jungkook released the long breath he didn't realize he was holding in, he gave a short laugh as he hugged taehyung.. "Now I honestly can't wait for Monday" taehyung said while jungkook laughed..
Jungkook left taehyung outside who continued admiring their new ride to school every morning, he went to the living room and found his mom at the dining area drinking water... He didn't hesitate to engulf her in a hug, even scooping her off her feet.. Mrs Jeon squealed "Put me down young man, I'm too old for this" Jungkook laughed and allowed his mom. Stand on her feet.. "Sorrry" jungkook said softly and hugged her again "Thank you mom, I love you so so much" "You're welcome baby, anything for you.." "Uhm am I too late for the hug?" taehyung's voice filled the room, not waiting for any reply, he darted to Mrs Jeon open arms "You're the best Mrs Jeon" taehyung said embracing her "Thank you for getting us that cool bike, we appreciate it.. I appreciate it.. Honestly..." "Awww tae, you always know how to get to my heart, you're welcome baby"
After the mini emotional display, Mrs Jeon decided to make a happy meal, while jungkook and taehyung helped with little things...
"I didn't realize I was this hungry until now" jungkook said as he suff his mouth "Me too" taehyung agreed.. "In as much as you both are hungry ducks, you better be careful with stuffing your mouth else you'll cho.."
Cough cough
"See?" Mrs Jeon shrugged.. "Sorry bro" jungkook patted taehyung's back, stiffling a laugh.. Taehyung ignored his immature friend and gulped a full glass of water.. After the ordeal, taehyung ate slowly and quietly..
"Mom, how did you manage to get the bike, I know it quite expensive" jungkook asked as he and his mom did the dishes, while taehyung was cleaning the dining table.. "Well, you don't have to bother about that... Although I'm paying installmentaly, but it's fine I got it all covered.. Consider it an early birthday gift.. Since I couldn't get you your first car you asked for your 18th birthday" Jungkook laughed "Mom, you shouldn't have taken that to heart.. As long as I have you, I don't need anything else" "Yeah I know, but still... If your dad was here, maybe your 18th birthday would have been more special" "Eomma!" jungkook backhugged his mom.. "I just miss him kookie" Mrs Jeon breathed out "I do too, everyday, I'll finish with the dishes.. Go to your room and rest up okay..". Mrs Jeon nodded, jungkook kissed her forehead, then she left.. Jungkook sighed, trying to hold back his tears.. He aggressively washed the plates...
"How long have you been here?" jungkook asked as he turned and found taehyung leaning on the kitchen door.. "I don't know, not too long..." taehyung said shrugging.. "Well you startled me" jungkook said as he grabbed a can of water on the table, and drank the whole content.. "Sorry.. It's just.." "No questions please, I'm going to shower, after that I'll walk you home" jungkook said walking out of the kitchen.. Taehyung being tongue tied slowly walked to the living room and sat waiting for jungkook, he hated kookie being like this sometimes... But if he doesn't want to talk, the least he could do was not push him..
After few minutes, jungkook came downstairs.. Taehyung stared at him unsure of what to do or say.. Jungkook smiled at him.. Oh wow... "I'm sorry about earlier.." he said.. "Oh it's fine.. I understand" taehyung said standing up.. The duo walked out of the house "How's she?" tae asked.. "She's fine" jungkook replied sighing "she's asleep" he added.. Taehyung decided not to push further, they walked in silence until they got to tae's home.. "So... Is the sleepover still on?" taehyung asked "Yeah, sure, why not.. I'll be better in the morning don't worry.." Taehyung nodded.. "Hugs?" he asked spreading his arms, this was the least he could do right now.. Jungkook stared at him for a while.. Before engulfing him.. "You're such a sweet angel tae, thanks for being my friend" jungkook muttered but taehyung heard "Bestfriend" taehyung corrected Jungkook chuckled "Yeah, bestfriend" They unwrapped their arms from each other, but they held hands.. "I hope you and your mom heal completely kookie" Taehyung said softly, jungkook nodded.. "I hope so too" it was barely a whisper.. Taehyung gave jungkook's hand a reassuring squeeze, they both locked gaze and taehyung smiled, one of those smiles that jungkook finds comfort in.. Jungkook half smiled and averted his gaze, he didn't know why, but he just did.. "I'll..ill see you tomorrow" jungkook said "Okay" taehyung nodded letting go of kookie's hands..
They bid a brief farewell and went to their respective homes
