Harry knocks on Louis' door, holding a bunch of sunflowers in his hands. He wears some skinny jeans and a lavender silk shirt with the first few buttons undone, showing off the swallows that peak between the fabric.

Louis doesn't have Joseph today. Lottie had a day off work and decided to take him to soft play with some of her mum friends from the school.

So Harry came up with the idea of going somewhere nice with Louis. Just them two. Louis insisted in paying for the tickets, but Harry was adamant to do it himself, saying Louis has already done so much for him. So he spent part of his weekly wages on the day, and he couldn't be any more excited, yet a little nervous.

Louis opens the door, brows furrowed. He looks up to Harry and his features soften, smile on his small lips. Harry takes in what Louis is wearing. Some washed out jeans and a navy blue shirt slightly tucked in. Something casual unlike what Louis normally wears out and about. Although, Louis has begun to loosen up a lot around Harry ever since he caught him in just his boxers a few months ago when they were only just starting to go about the deal.

"Did you lose your key?" Louis ponders, opening the door wider.

Harry shakes his head, fishing in his jeans pocket and showing the key dangling from the llama keychain Louis bought him. "No."

"Then why didn't you use it to get in, you sausage?" Louis asks, amusement laced in his tone and features.

Harry's lips pull up, dimple caving in and Louis reaches over and pokes it. Soft pools of orange and yellows cases Harry's heart at the simple gesture and he feels almost like liquid. He could go anywhere if he wanted, flow across the mountains and through the sea with Louis with him in his heart forever.

"Because I wanted to court you properly." He shrugs casually, meeting Louis' eyes.

Louis leans into the doorframe. "You even bought me flowers," he says airily.

Harry hands them over and Louis sniffs them.

"Mmm, they smell like fuck all, my favourite scent. Thank you baby." He leans over and captures Harry's lips in a quick soft kiss.

"You're welcome sweetie. I would've got you daffodils but they finished ages ago, unfortunately. Sunflowers were the next best thing."

"They're amazing. Thank you. You're making me feel like I'm a shit date because I didn't think that far."

"It's fine! You've done enough for me. It's my turn to return the favour." Harry steps into the house beside Louis.

Louis walks over to the kitchen and grabs a vase from within a cupboard. Grace has a day off today, which is very much obvious with the way the house is already in a tip from Louis' shit being chucked around aimlessly. It looks like he was panicking on what to wear for the date to Harry's amusement. There's also a shit ton of dishes and pans in the sink with crusted ramen noodles stuck to the side. Louis fills up the vase with water, the tsch of the tap drowns out the comfortable silence.

Harry goes over to the sink and begins filling up the dishes with washing up liquid and hot water. Louis slaps his hand, making him yelp.

"Don't be doing that on our date! I'll sort it later," he urges, pushing Harry out and away from the dishes.

Harry smiles. "Well we haven't started our date properly yet and those noodles will cement and stain the pots if you don't soak them now."

"Sorry, didn't know you were my mother," Louis teases, giving him an easy smile.

Harry rolls his eyes, poking his tongue out at his boyfriend. Well. Soon to be.

"Are you ready to go?" Harry asks, checking his watch on his wrist. "We've got reservations."
