Sarah Pov

I can't believe it's finally happening today! Adam and I are finally engaged.

Tonight is our engagement party where we shall celebrate with our families – our joyous union.

Adam beautifully proposed to me. We went to the restaurant for dinner where we first met, and after dinner, he popped the question.

I am getting ready for the engagement. I got this beautiful lehenga that is customary to wear since I'm half Indian, gold heels, and a set of jewelry that Adam gifted me to wear for the party

"Sarah, are you rea... wow, you look beautiful." My sister Anaya walked in.

"Thank you," I replied to her

"I can't believe you are getting married. You were so tiny, and now you are all grown up." Anaya teared up.

I hugged my sister as I teared up a bit.

"All right time to go downstairs. Adam is waiting for you downstairs. He won't be able to take his eyes off you when he sees you." She giggled when she said that and I blushed.

We walked downstairs. All the guests were looking at me so was Adam.

I looked at him and smiled, and he smiled back at me. He forwarded his hand to me and I took it.

Adam wore a crème suit while I wore my pink lehenga everything was perfect just how I wanted it the décor the theme was just perfect until I heard someone say

"Stop this engagement."

What was going on who was this person? I looked towards Adam as he saw the lady. The color drained from his face, which meant he knew her.

When I looked towards her arms, she was holding a baby it looked like it was six months or even more than that. Definitely under a year.

"This engagement cannot happen." The lady spoke once again.

"Who are you and why can't this engagement not happen?" My dad asked.

"I am here to expose the truth of this disgusting man." She pointed towards Adam.

"Go away from here, lady. I don't know what truth you are talking about," Adam said.

"Liar, don't believe a word he said. Adam have you easily forgotten that you proposed to me once you found out that I was pregnant with our son." She said to him.

I looked towards Adam, hoping that this lady wasn't true and our four years together were not a lie. That was just like the desi drama that is shown on the TV serials that my mother watches; he never spoke up. He was guilty.

"Adam, she is not speaking the truth right. You wouldn't do such a thing right?" He didn't answer. He looked guilty. He was guilty.

"ANSWER ME!" I yelled at him and started shaking his arms.

"It's the truth." I took a step back in shock, leaving his arms. "Sarah," He said my name.

"How long has this been going?" I asked him "Sarah" and he kept on saying my name.

"ANSWER ME D****T" I yelled at him

"More than a year." He answered me.

"Why did you do this to me? Was I not enough for you?"

"We were together for four years, and did you only cheat once during the duration of us being together or more than that?" I asked him

"Sarah, let's talk inside and not air our dirty laundry to the world, everyone," Adam told me, and  I scoffed and looked at him

"Who is our 'DIRTY LAUNDRY'? You mean yours since you are the one who cheated."

"Answer my question to what I asked?"

"It's true but I didn't mean for it to. It was a one-time it was a mistake. You  have been so busy with work that you have never had the time for me." He dared to tell me that.

I slapped him, and the crowd gasped as I did that.

"Lame excuse b*****d, I always made time for you.

I always make time for my loved ones, you know that, but you choose to ignore that because you couldn't keep your eyes from wandering."

I couldn't take this anymore. I slipped the ring off my finger and handed it back to Adam.

"No, Sarah, I am sorry. Please don't do this. I love you. Please give me a chance. It was a mistake." Adam pleaded

"It's over," I said to him.

"No, please don't end it." He said.

I walked out, and as I was leaving, I heard my brother-in-law say, "Move along. She said it's over now out."

"You don't deserve her, you scum."

I heard something get thrown across the room that landed with a thud, and I heard everyone yell at Aurora, my younger sister. I looked back at Adam, holding his face, and then I saw her throwing another shoe at him.

So, the drama begins.
