Alycen POV

I’m Alycen Leigh Stewart.

I was seventeen, the day I found out changed my life forever.

I grew up in a small town in the mountains with my father. Now I’m twenty and a junior at Manchester University, where I live with my best friend Macy Edwards and my two year old daughter Avery. I was seventeen when I dated Avery’s father, Jake Jackson, who was eighteen. We dated for about six months, I swiped my V card, and he dumped me. Even though we used a condom, a week and a half later, I found out I was pregnant. My father and grandma were very supportive, which I’m thankful for because I don’t think I could’ve managed on my own.

Me and Macy met in English our freshman year and have been best friends ever since. It’s convenient that we live together since I have morning classes Monday through Wednesday and work during the evenings. Macy has a light semester with only two classes that are Thursdays and Fridays around lunch so I’m able to watch Avery while Macy’s at class and before I head off to work. I work at a small café a few blocks from our flat during the week and sometimes on the weekends. Mrs. Jacks, my boss, is very sweet and she lets me bring Avery in sometimes when it’s not too busy.

And then there’s Liam Payne.

He’s a junior as well and we met in biology, a few days after I met Macy. I’ve had a huge crush on Liam since we met. He’s fucking adorable and funny and beyond sweet. He doesn’t know about Avery and I’m afraid that if I tell him or he finds out, it will mess up everything and I don’t want to get hurt again.

Liam POV

 

Thank God today is Saturday. All I want to do is relax and chill. I’m in the living room watching Friends, waiting on the lads who are bringing Nando’s. I’ve been texting Aly to see if she wants to hang out, but she hasn’t replied so she’s probably at work or out with Macy. I put my phone on the coffee table in front of me and go into the kitchen to get a bottle of water. Right as I turn around to walk back into the living room,

Louis shouts “we’re back!”

“Okay, come put it on the table” I say as Harry walks in holding the bags.

“Sorry, it took so long. The lift was being fixed so we had to take the stairs” Louis says looking at me.

“It’s all good. Let’s eat, I’m starving!” I say grabbing some paper plates and plastic forks and knives.

We all walk into the living room with our plates in hand and sit down.

“Okay, lads what movie would you like to watch? I was thinking Taken?” Harry pipes up from playing fruit ninja on his phone.

“Taken is so boring, sorry Hazza. I wanna watch Transformers pleaseeeee!!” Louis says jumping up and down and crossing his arms over his chest, a pout now visible on his lips. This is his way of getting everyone to agree with him and sadly I guess acting like a five year old works every time.

“Yeh, I’ll go for Transformers. Sorry Haz, but I’m just not feeling the whole hostage drama ordeal… more of the robot action stuff.” Zayn says getting up to go to the kitchen for a pepsi.
