THE ONE

HER

My bag check.
Phone check.
Charger check.
Pendrive check.
Lunch....ugh.. she ran towards the table to grab her lunch box that was the only thing which helped her to go all day long, how could she forget that..she slapped her head mumbling something and grabbing her favourite chocolate bar from the fridge.

" Nitra Kamath!! I have told you several times not to eat such things early in the morning!" her sweet mom, not in a sweet mood yelled from the kitchen.

"Relax mom, I know what I am doing and this choclate has caffeine I didn't have tea as I am running late hence it's just a replacement" she tried to clarify.

"Yeah...you know everything I am the only one who doesn't know a thing in this house" her mom said in a disheartening voice.

"Okay... what's going on lady don!" Nitra's baby brother jumped in.

"Aayush, I am telling you for the last time..do not call me that or I will disown you" Aayush just rolled his eyes.

"Okay! what happened here" he took his plate of sandwich and walked to the hall sitting on the sofa.

"Your elder sister thinks she knows every damn thing!" her mom complained about her to her little brother.
Seriously! Shouldn't it be the other way around.
"Umm...mom, technically she does knows everything you know we made her a doctor" Aayush reasoned.

"You made me a doctor?!! I will not let you touch my car next time if you repeat it. I am a doctor because of my hardwork... don't you ever say otherwise" Nitra snapped at him.

"We know Dr Nitra now please leave aren't you getting late?" Aayush said irritated by her.

"Fine! I am leaving and you aren't touching my car and mom I know it's hard but try to digest the fact that I am a doctor now please try to trust me"

"Ofcourse" her mom muttered sarcastically and went inside the kitchen to bring in more sandwiches for aayush who was shamelessly gulping each one down in minutes.

"Di...um you weren't serious about the car thing were you?"

"Damn yes! I was! Aayush just go to college" she had had enough of morning drama.

She realised how Aayush called her di instead of her name. He always does that when he wants something and then switches back to call her by her name.

Her mother..Mrs Janki Kamath still can't accept the fact that her daughter has enough knowledge to be a doctor.

Nitra rolled her eyes at that, the whole world can call her doctor and she would give advice but in her house she would be the one who gets advice no matter what.

"I just hope Dad comes back soon from his work tour...or else these two are going to make me crazy then I would seriously need to get some therapy" she muttered and started to drive towards her hospital.
