He quit drugs by working out, then became a superhero by climbing mountains. He was there when the universe was saved and got a big shoe and cereal deal.
He stayed quit with daily support group meetings, and checking in daily with sober phone friends.
To further his superhero motive, he quit coffee and sweets to purify to the next level of super. He did it with support systems and exercise. Once purified, he could lift and run 1% harder.
It was Snopely's turn to save the world. He was one of the first superheroes to fight the aliens in downtown. The floating eye with moustache stared at him and Snopely was paralyzed and sent to nirvana in his mind. He was a millionaire in his mind, with a wife and kids. But suddenly the sight of alcohol in the dream jarred him awake, and he punched the eye. They put the eye in Purple Hills Monster Jail.
Then Snopely began training with Aged Silver Hero. They encouraged each other in sobriety and superheroed for a long time.
