PROLOGUE
Life isn't just a joke that anyone can just playfully laught about. Life taught me this lesson, the hard way.
I clutch my bag tighter as I felt butterflies swarming in my stomach. I kept walking back in fort like a stupid girl in front of my father's house because I could not make up my mind.
Pagumalis ako ngayon ay alam kong wala na akong babalikan pa. I won't have the same comfortable life that I grown up to. I would need to tend to myself and be mature and responsible. In short, I would live a life that is the complete opposite of what I'm accustomed to.
But if I stay, I get to keep everything. I get to live my life as if nothing happened. But... it would be my biggest regret.
This is the most crucial path that I think I would take on my life. Kasi isang maling choice lang ay pwede ng ikasira ng buong buhay ko. And as I close my eyes ay alam kong what I would choose is the best for me. I felt my tears fell on my cheeks as I take one last look on the big house that made the person I'am today.
Yes, I choose to leave...
As I took a step back, away from the mansion, ay unti unting nagflashback lahat ng mga taong nakasama ko at mga lugar na napuntahan ko. I would miss everything. I would miss everyone. I would even miss the purple elephant stufftoy that my mother gave me before she passed away. Someday, as I look back into life, I know I would always miss and think of everyone.
Pero I need to move on. I need to grow up... because one thing is for sure...
At least I know I won't regret.
