REMEMBER WHEN

Hayoon arrived at the hospital, but she didn't go in to meet Jake, she just stood outside the door, holding the doorknob.

"We will meet again, right? Please take care of yourself, Jake. Even though you don't remember me anymore, I'll still remember you."

Hayoon spoke in her heart and sighed.

"Why aren't you coming in?"

Hayoon was surprised to hear that familiar voice behind her. She quickly turned around, and it was Jake.

"Jake?" 

"Why aren't you coming in? You don't want to see me?" 

"It's not like that. I want to go in, but my boss just called me and told me to come to work now."

"Are you not lying? I'm relieved to hear that. I thought you were going to leave me."

Hayoon smiled.

"I called Harin yesterday, but she didn't pick up. Is she too busy?" 

"She told me she would come to see you today. She promised." 

"Really?"

Jake's eyes brightened when Hayoon told him about it.

"Jake, I'm afraid I might get busy... so please take care of yourself, okay? I'll come to see you again when I'm not busy." 

"You'll be busy too? Where are you going?" 

"I'm not going anywhere, I'm just busy." 

"Okay, I'll wait for you." 

"Don't wait for me, you might be disappointed." 

"I won't be disappointed. Please don't be busy for too long."

Hayoon nodded and smiled.

"Can we shake hands? Who knows, I might be gone for a long time." 

"You better not say things like that."

Jake didn't shake hands with Hayoon but pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you, Hayoon, for always visiting me. Even though I don't clearly remember who you are, I know you must be a good person."

Hayoon's eyes teared up, but she held back.

"I have to go now, or my boss will be angry... see you again, Jake."

Jake pouted.

"Make sure you come to see me again."

"If we're destined to meet again, we'll definitely meet." 

"You talk like you'll be gone for a long time." 

"Take care, okay? Bye!"

Hayoon left, and she was in tears. Jake watched her walk away, feeling like something was not right.

"I'm sure she's okay..."

At the airport, Jiyeong and Yoora went to send off Hayoon.

"Make sure you give those polaroids to Jake, okay? Tell him everything." 

"I promise I'll do what you asked."

Jiyeong cried.

"A year isn't that long, just think of it like I'm gone for a month." 

"Stop talking about it, it makes me even sadder."
