The day was going to be terrible from the very morning - Hawk Moth lost again to Ladybug and Chat Noir, and earlier he accidentally spilled coffee on a newly washed suit, broke the glass of his tablet and instead of unsuccessful attempts to sketch a new outfit, he threw away the appropriate one. Everything was going wrong from the beginning of the day.
-Nasty Ladybug, nasty Cat Noir, mean kids! They keep getting in my way! - he shouted full of anger, standing in his hiding place. - I'm really fed up with this. I have to come up with a plan so perfect, so diabolical, that even the best criminal could never come up with such an idea. Hmm... - he thought for a moment. With this in mind, he went back upstairs to his office. He walked back and forth, thinking and analyzing the perfect idea in his head.
-Here, I brought you new coffee and washed your suit. - Nathalie said as she entered the room. The woman handed the boss a cup with a slight smile, but he just cleared his throat: "Thank you" and that was it. Even though Nathalie had expected it, it was still a bit disappointing. It's so hard to put a smile on his face. She sat down at the desk, slightly disappointed, and dealt with the papers and mail. She was in the middle of replying to an e-mail when suddenly her boss's loud voice rang out in the deafening silence.
-I know! I came up with it! Ha ha!
-What did you come up with? - asked the slightly irritated woman who, due to a sudden scream, accidentally deleted the message she had been writing for over half an hour. However, she tried not to let her irritation show.
-I have the best, most perfect plan to defeat Ladybug and Chat Noir. "That..." she was suddenly interrupted by a short series of coughs. The woman covered her face with her hands. - fantastic.
-She finished. However, Gabriel suddenly looked away and seemed sad. - Is something wrong? - she asked, intrigued by her boss's sudden change of mood.
-No. Nothing. I just... thought you'd help me with my plan as Mayura. But since I see you're still not up to it, maybe we shouldn't risk it. The woman stood up and said:
-No worries. I can handle.
-Definitely?
-Yes.
Gabriel just grunted and then left the office. When Nathalie was left alone, she fell to the floor and started coughing very hard. She held back that cough just to keep from letting on that she felt terrible after the previous fight. But then her boss opened the door and said to her:
-Maybe rest instead of working. - he said in a dry tone as usual, but there was also a bit of sympathy in it.
-I'm fine. - she said, but Gabriel walked over to her and helped her up, then sat her down on the couch. Then he knelt down next to her.
-I can see you're not in a very good condition, even if you try to hide it. - Saying this, he placed his hand on hers.
-No no. It's just a minor cough. - she denied. The man looked at her carefully for a moment, trying to make eye contact with the assistant as long as possible. However, she finally couldn't stand it and after a while she looked elsewhere. After all, how much can you look at a person you have unconditional love and be aware that that person doesn't feel the same way? Gabriel got up and as he was leaving he added:
-Tonight I will explain the whole plan to you. But don't overwork yourself anymore, please. - And he disappeared through the door. Nathalie felt herself blush slightly. What a wonderful feeling it was to know that the person she loved cared about her. It's a pity that only in moments when he feels bad and it's his fault. After all, when Mayura fainted, Gabriel was able to drop everything to help her. Whenever she coughed or felt dizzy from time to time, he tried to make her rest and not overwork herself. But all his concern was due to his guilt. After all, he was the one who kept putting Nathalie in this bad condition. Even though he was worried about her, he still gave in to her requests and allowed her to use the damaged miraculous. After all, it was convenient for him - he had a better chance of getting his wife back. And Nathalie did it out of love for him. They say love is blind. You don't even know how much...
