Seeing Him

First Day ch.1

I had just walked into school. It was so exciting being a senior! It is the last year of high school! I am so excited for prom too! Then, there I saw Grace. She has been my best friend since kindergarten. I walked over to her and said "Hi Grace!"

"Hi Lizzie!" Aren't you excited?

"Yes I am", I said!

"Come on, let's go", Grace said.

Our first hour class was science. Great. As we walked in I noticed someone new.

As Grace and I found out spots he looked over at us. Then he looked right at me.

Oh my gosh! He was so perfect! He was so cute! He has light brown hair, blue eyes and the perfect smile.

"Lizzie." "Lizzie", Grace said!

"What", I said?

"Uh oh. Someone's got a crush", Grace said.

"Shut up."

"Good morning class", Mr. Helton said.

"Good morning", everyone replied.

"Today we will be reading ch. 1-3 and then doing the section questions after".

Mr. Helton handed out our books and then we all got started. I tried to focus, but all I could focus on was him. I just kept staring at him. I couldn't help it.

"Lizzie Simons", Mr Helton said?

"Yes?"

"Focus on your reading please, not Mr. Brooks."

"Sorry", I said.

I started reading again and then it felt like someone was looking at me. I turned around and there he was, staring at me.

As soon as I caught him he looked down at his book. After that I went back to reading. Finally the bell rang and we all hurried out.

Next hour was Math.

Finally it was sixth hour and time for lunch. I met up with Grace and we got our lunch. When we sat down Grace started asking me about him.

"Hey I'm first hour today I saw you making buggy eyes at Alex", Grace said.

His name is Alex, Alex Brooks.

"Oh wow!" "Lizzie has a crush, Lizzie has a crush", Grace said.

"Maybe", I said.

" Oh my gosh, look, he's coming over here!", Grace said.

The next thing I know he comes right over and sits right beside me. Grace winks at me.

"Hi", Alex said.

"Hi."

"My name is Alex, Alex Brooks."

"My name is Lizzie, Lizzie Simons."

"Well, how's your lunch", he asked?

I could tell he was really shy. So am I.

"Good, and yours", I asked?

"Great"!

Then he introduced himself to Grace and vice versa. We all talked about our classes and about ourselves. We told him about the places in town since he is new. Then the bell rang. Why'd it have to ruin this perfect moment?

"Well, I better get to class now", I said.

"Ya me too, I guess I'll see you in Art 9th hour?, Alex asked?

"Yep, see you then!"

We said our good byes and then I looked over at Grace. She had the biggest grin on her face.

"What?"

"You two are gonna be so cute", Grace said.

"Oh shut up".

Secretly I hoped Grace was right.

Finally it was 9th hour. I got to see Alex! I walked into class and there he was. When he saw me he waved and patted the seat next to him. He saved me a chair! How sweet. I told Grace to follow and we sat down next to him.

"Hi Lizzie, Hi Grace", Alex said.

"Hi", we both said in unison.

Mrs. Smith have us our assignment and we started working. Alex and I made small chat while we worked. After awhile the bell rang.

I packed up my stuff and then got ready to leave when Alex grabbed my hand. As soon as he grabbed it, it felt like electricity ran through me. I almost jumped as I felt it.

"Hold up, I want to ask you something", Alex said.

"What is it"?

"I don't mean to sound like a stalker, but can I have your number"?

"Sure", I said.

I cannot believe the hot new guy asked for my number!

"It's 641-414-1482".

"Thanks! I'll text you later than!"

"Okay, bye", I said.

"Bye".

When I got home I started on my homework and worked on that for awhile. Then mom called me down for supper. I ate quickly not wanting to miss my text from Alex. I finished up and headed right back upstairs to my room.

My phone didn't show anything so I decided to work on homework again. I was about to give up when I got a text from and unknown number;

HEY IS THIS LIZZIE? THIS IS ALEX.

YES! I ABOUT HAVE UP ON YOU! LOL :)

IM SORRY. I WAS TRYING TO CATCH UP ON HOMEWORK. I WAS JUST MAKING SURE U DIDNT GIVE ME A RANDOM NUMBER. ILL C U 2 MORROW!

OKAY. BYE! :)

I was so happy! He texted me back! After all the homework was done got ready for bed. I went to bed with a smile on my face.
