Travis g'et you ass back here, there's Ball at the School today so give back my dress. My sister yelled at my brother and i was just shaking my head because i wasn't excited for the Ball because theres father daughter dance but we are the only family which dad isn't back yet. I sat in my own thoughts until my mom yelled my name for the ten times. Daisy James Walter common you have to get ready now, or else I'm coming up. I got up and looked in my closet to find something but I just picked out a some white jeans and a t-shirt and walked downstairs to my mom. D. My mom said with disappointment in her tone. I just stood there looking at my mom. D... I thought you would put on the dress I got for you but now. My mom walked closer to me and let her hand run down my hair and smiles she does it every time when she thinks of my dad it's because I has he's hair color. Mom... I know but you know what there's at the ball there's father daughter dance and we don't have our father here we don't even know where he is after everyone else got there dad back from the war.. I said while some tears ran down my cheeks.
I know sweetie but listen you can dance with your sister Allison and brother Travis. She said trying to cheer me up. Mom it's fine I go to the ball but I'm not gonna dance with my siblings it's not the same. I said leaving with my siblings, I sat in the back looking out the window and listens to my sister talking to Travis.
"How can they talk about everything and not thinking about dad?"I think to myself.  After 20minutes drive to the school I saw all the fathers with their daughters and I felt a spike going through my throat but I took a deep breath and put on a smile and walked into the ball.
Me and my siblings sat at a table but I had to go to the bathroom so I did when I was sitting in the bathroom I heard some girls walk in and talk about my family and how me and my siblings could show up without a dad and after I heard enough I pushed the door open and walked straight to the girls. You DON'T KNOW ANYTHING YOU DON'T KNOW IF MY DAD CALLS US EVERYTHING NIGHT BEFORE BED. I yelled and stormed out the bathroom and rushed to the stairwell and sat down and knew the things I said wasn't true. "Why did I say that I know that's not true" I thought out to myself.
After the ball we got back home. How did the ball go? My mom asked and my siblings and I said it went fine and I just walked up to my room without saying a word and closes my door and takes a picture of me and my dad and sits on the floor looking at the picture. Where are you dad com back home. I said pulling the picture into my chest and crying.
I kept holding the picture until falling asleep and my mom came up to my room and saw me on the floor sleeping but see helped me up in my bed and I let go of the picture and my mom took it and saw it was a picture of me and my dad and she looked at smiling and put it on my nightstand and left my room again.
