Choice has been made

I opened my eyes slowly. Feeling warm arms wrapped around my torso on either side. My head was reeling with the recollection of the voice coming through my mind. He was close to finding me. That much was clear. If he was close enough to mindlink me, then he must be just outside of pack territory.

I unravelled myself from Aaron before going to the bathroom to relive myself. I stared at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. My hair was dishevelled and knotted. I recollected last night with my mate. Being here was putting him in danger. I couldn't fathom what I was going to do. I had a choice to make, and it was proving difficult. Do I choose to be with my mate. Or save my life and most likely his.

Before my mind could reel any further, a knock on the bathroom door stopped my thoughts. "Sweetheart, I'll be right back. There's someone on pack territory asking to speak with me." The voice came loud and clear through the door. My head span. It was him. He was here on pack territory. "Aaron, don't go, please," I shouted through the door. But it was too late he had already left.

My heart went into overdrive, beating louder and louder, almost echoing the noise through my skull. I chambered out of the bathroom to find my clothes and got them on in record time. I darted out of the door, unsure of how to get to Aaron, but I needed to make sure he was okay. My father was a dangerous man.

I used my senses darting past the strange looks I was getting. I ran with all of my heart following the smell of my mate. I was edging closer and closer I could feel him. I slowed to a brisk walk before glancing ahead of me. The voices became clearer and clearer as I approached.

"You have something of mine, Alpha. And I intend to get it back. " I heard the harrowing voice of my father. "Nothing in this pack belongs to you, I can assure you of that," Aaron retorted. I could feel the waves of the Alpha aura bouncing between the two of them. Fighting for dominance. My father's stronger, but Aaron held his own against him, which made my wolf gleam with pride.

"She is mine, and no insignificant child like you will keep her away from me." I felt the anger from him rolling off in waves. "Well, I'm sorry to say, sir. But you can't have her, she's already told me she doesn't want to go back to you. She's gonna stay here with me, " Aaron replied, his eyes flashing yellow. "Please escort the Alpha off our territory, please," Aaron asked 2 other wolves before sauntering the other direction. I looked at my father one more time before he pulled a smirk that I recognised all too well. It was a promise that, regardless, this pack would pay for harbouring me. The memories of my father slaughtering thousands recollected in my brain. I could not let this happen again. Too many people had already died at his hand. And Aaron was too important to die it would be my last straw. My choice was clear. Even if I left, the pack would be left for dust. This time, I would have to stay, I would fight for Aaron and his pack. To the death if that's what it take.
