My Newfound Love

Starting The YouTube channel

I Opened the door to my new place and walked inside to a beautiful looking porch with smooth brown wood which I very much admired, when I walked further inside it lead to a hallway where the kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms were. For now I was only going to use the second bedroom as more of an office but I wouldn't be against the idea of having a roommate or just someone. 

Once I searched every room to see what they looked like I began bringing in my stuff which took hours to do, once I was really done I went to the room with my pc parts and set them up with some neon lights hanging up in the room just for some nice effect. Once everything was hooked up I turned on the pc and let it do it's thing while I went to go unpack other stuff and put it back. 

After all of that I threw on a grey sweater with some leggings and went online to do what I always wanted to do was create a YouTube channel in which I could vlog and share my life with others online, I know that's always scary but it's been something I have always wanted to do and I am going to do it. 

Once I was on the site for YouTube I began putting in details about my channel, once that was done I hit save then it was time to make my first video which was going to be me explaining about my channel in my chair and hopefully getting people to subscribe to my channel. 

Once I was ready I took a deep breath and hit record on my face cam "Hello everyone! Salice Rose here and to the many people who will see this video I am making this video to say I am starting my vlog channel, I will be vlogging about pretty much anything you guys want to see whether it be How my life is, What I do in a day, Explaining about why I started this channel, I want to make a community out of this and I hope I can and even inspire some of the great people who are seeing this, Maybe your going through something and maybe my videos can help you, some of those problems might be that you are figuring yourself out maybe you are trying to figure out if you are really LGBTQ+ and trust me that takes awhile for someone to figure out cause it took me awhile, Now after that you might ask "Salice are you LGBTQ+"? and to that I will answer yes I am because I am a lesbian and hopefully I get no backlash for saying that hopefully all of you accept me for who I am because it means the world to me if you do. Now if you don't accept me and don't want to subscribe that is fine with me just don't harass me or any of the fellow LGBTQ+ people please and thank you.

I said before finally hitting the stop recording button and went to my editing software and edited the video, once I was done I went to upload the video and noticed it's going to take a bit to actually upload so I decided to go outside to see what the neighborhood was like  since it was a relatively nice day. 

So I went back to my porch and put on my shoes then put my hand on the door and opened it to be greeted by some sun hitting my body, however when I walked outside it was a bit chilly but I had on a sweater so I knew I would be fine. I walked down my block first going left and seeing the people of the block either inside doing stuff, On their lawns playing games and some taking care of their lawns, there were also some just lounging on a chair outside in the sun it honestly seems like such a nice place to live and I am glad I picked it. The next block had a Starbucks and I was pretty thirsty from this walk also from unpacking everything so I went inside to be greeted by a long line of people I sighed and waited in line. 

After what felt like hours I was finally up next I walked up to the counter and looked at the very beautiful lady working the cash and she looked at me "What can I get for you"? she asked in a very girly voice and I blushed for no reason whatsoever but snapped out of it quickly "I will just take yo-Shit I mean I will take whatever you recommend". I said very much so embarrassed and the lady just giggled and put me down for whatever she thought I would like and pointed me over to the waiting part of the place. Of course while I was waiting I was overthinking about what I had said and why I even said it, like yeah she is beautiful but I shouldn't just blurt out words my head is thinking I need to think before saying things that'll make me seem weird. 

Soon enough my order was up and the girl called my name that I gave her, so I grabbed my drink quickly and went ahead to find myself a seat in the far back away from everyone so I could keep thinking to myself why I do these things. I looked at the drink and seen their sharpie print on the cup that they always do and seen that she even spelt my name wrong but put a heart after my name which was strange indeed but I ignored it and took a sip, As soon as the drink hit my lips I knew it was off but I couldn't quite wrap my head around it so I took another sip and noticed it was burning my mouth and went up to the counter again "Excuse me there seems to be something totally wrong with my drink I think you guys put hot sauce in my drink instead of putting cara-". I get cut off by some angry guy who grabs my shoulders and turns me around "EXCUSE ME LADY YOU CAN'T JUST SKIP THE LINE AND INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR DRINK! IT'S EITHER YOU SHUT UP AND ACCEPT THAT DRINK OR YOU FUCKING LEAVE". the guy said nearly picking me up, the girl who served Salice rolled her eyes and came up to the guy "Hey! put her down sir you can't just just grab people like that I know you might be having a bad day but that's no reason to punish others". the girl said and he put me down then crossed his arms and I turned to face the girl "Hey thank you! I have one complaint though and that is that my drink seems to have hot sauce instead of regular caramel". I said hoping the girl won't be too upset. 

She just looked at the drink and rolled her eyes "Yeah that's the way the guys do it Salice, when the guys see a pretty smoking hot woman like you they think putting hot sauce in their drink as a way of thinking that'll make you like them, I of course can take it back and make you the correct drink if you'd like". she said and smiled. 

I nodded and gave her the drink so she could fix it, I went back to my seat and waited for my drink thinking about what she had said like was I really smoking hot? was she just saying that as a joke or did she really mean it? I really wasn't sure what to make of this situation really like I don't even have cleavage right now as I am wearing on a sweater because I know I'd get all kinds of eyes on me I just don't know. 

She came back with my drink and placed it in front of me "There we go Salice all good no more hot sauce in it". she said and even sat down with me seriously what the hell was she doing sitting with me? Is she on her break? did she just need a quick sit down? Maybe I should stop asking myself questions and ask her some so I looked at her "thanks! hey are you joining me? because you are on the clock at the moment or are you just taking a rest? because either is fine with me". I said wanting to seriously facepalm myself that I actually asked that question. 

She giggled and looked at me "I'm on break for like 15 or 20 minutes the other girl is taking over until I get back, It feels good to finally sit down after what feels like hours of standing and taking other peoples orders even if they are assholes I have to smile and take their order". she said and looked at me "What do you do Salice"? she said before picking up her purse and getting out a little stick, I just ignored it and answer her question "Me? Oh shucks I am starting my own YouTube channel and it's going to feature me doing some vlogs about my life and doing Q and A's on it! I think I totally can make this". she said and remembered her first video wasn't done rendering by the time she left the house nor did she have any video up at all. 

The girl nodded and brought the little stick up her her lips and hauled on it slightly and doing what the teens do when they vape she ghosted it "Oh cool! well give me your channel and I'll make sure to subscribe to your channel". she said a bit of the vape cloud coming out her mouth. 

"Sure thing I will, hey you know vaping isn't cool um Alicia". I said and took a sip of my drink noticing it was normal now and she rolled her eyes "I know Salice but like I work here with real idiots so of course I am going to do this shit, if you were in my position wouldn't you start vaping too"? she asked and I shook my head "No, I'd find a better coping mechanism then grabbing this". I grab it from her hand "And put it in between my lips and haul on it". I said putting it between my lips and accidentally hauling on it and putting it down beside her. I soon realize what I did and blow out the cloud "Shit did I really just do that"? I asked and she giggled "Yeah you really just did tastes not so bad huh? bet you want more huhhhh"? Alicia said and teased me and I shook my head "No thanks no more I'm good". I said quickly drinking my drink. 

Alicia and I just chatted for a little while and before she went back to work these two mid 20's guys came up to us and looked us over "Hey girls! we noticed you  from a couple tables down and wanted to ask if you'd come join us, my name is Kyle and I really like this wonderful lady right here". he said pointing at me making me feel quite uncomfortable as he came closer to me. 

The other guy went closer to Alicia and looked at her "And my names Chad and this brunette girl is something else honestly", he winked at Alicia and that's when she laughed "You guys really think a girl like Salice and a girl like me would really want to be with two boys who wear their pants half off their ass, backwards hats and off brand looking Adidas shoes? hell no! plus Salice and I are both lesbian so please scram and don't put your scummy hands on either of our shoulders again". Alice said and slapped Chad and Kyle then went back behind the counter to go back to work. The boys just stood there in awe and then came up to me "Well I mean we can still have fun Salice". They both said quietly and I got up, opened my drink and poured it on them "How about next time you leave two girls who are enjoying themselves and having a genuine conversation alone"! I said before shoving them out of my way. 

When the manager came out he asked what was going on and Alicia explained everything to him and he kicked them out, when he saw me he came up to me and looked me in the eyes "Young lady are you ok"? he asked giving me some personal space, I nodded and he smiled "Good now I want to give you free drinks for a lifetime paid by me how does that sound"? he asked and Alicia came out behind the counter "Of course that sounds great sir! she and I will take the free drink offer". she exclaimed excitedly. 

He looks at Alicia and shakes his head "Ali you already got free drinks paid by me here you work here remember silly"? he said and looked at me "I think your friend deserves it for dealing with those men enjoy the free drinks for life ladies". he said before going to his office. 

Alicia scratched the back of her head and looked at me "Well I should get back to work but here is my number to stay in touch with me see you later Salice". she said and gave me the piece of paper with her number on it. 

When she went back to work I decided it was finally time to go home and see if the video was ready to be uploaded yet, when I got inside and went to the bedroom to see if the video was ready I seen it was ready so I uploaded the video and went to go do other things for the time being. 

While watching some Tik Tok on my phone I soon noticed it was close to 1:30 am and my bed wasn't quite set up yet so I chose the next best thing which was the couch that I had my neighbors help me bring in, I went to my closet and grabbed some blankets then went back to the couch, I threw the blankets on it and fell into a deep sleep as I was tired from   the day I just had.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy just the first chapter of this story! yes it is just a fanfiction in a way for Salice Rose and I love writing so those two things combined makes it seem alright, I am glad to be doing some stories on Wattpad again and I am glad to the people who actually will give this story a chance. I am hoping this somehow will turn into a career for me because I have always wanted a career as a stay at home writer and I will write and write for however long it takes for me to become one!
