Estelle woke up and sat up on her bed rapidly, her breathing heavy and her heart beating faster than ever. Drops of sweat dripped from her face as she tried to calm herself down. Another nightmare. Another goddamn nightmare about that day, the day that has happened ages ago, the day that she should've forgotten a long time ago but couldn't. She just couldn't forget the day she nearly killed everyone because of one small mistake.

That day has been weighting on her shoulders up until now. She just can't deal with the guilt of failing as a hero, as a friend, as a teammate, as anything she ever was back then. She nearly destroyed the whole of Paris with that stupid mistake and she had to pay a price: giving up her Miraculous which she treasured the most.

The angry and disappointed faces of the other heroes stayed stuck in her head. She just can't forget, no matter how hard she tries, she just can't and it's affecting her life badly each day.

Her sleep schedule has gotten worse. Those nightmares happen every single night and because of them, Estelle sleeps about 3 or 4 hours each night which makes her extremely tired throughout the day but now coffee keeps her alive and she manages just fine.

Estelle tries to act like everything is fine infront of her mums, Rose and Juleka. She doesn't want to worry them and cause anyone else pain ever again. She just wants everyone to be happy, even if it means for her to suffer herself.

Estelle touched her ears, hoping she could feel her earrings, her Miraculous, once again, but it's gone. 2 whole years have passed ever since the battle with Scarwing. All the heroes hated her for trusting him when he said he would change for the better, but those were just lies she couldn't see through. Because of that, Scarwing took advantage of it, stole half of the Miraculouses and used them all at once, causing a catastrophe.

Thankfully they were able to stop Scarwing but at what cost? One hero from their team tragically died after sacrificing herself just to stop him but it was all in vain since Scarwing escaped anyways, still in the possession of the Peacock Miraculous and nobody knows where he is now. There have been no attacks ever since that day. Maybe he gave up and finally realised that what he has done was beyond evil?

But even if Scarwing isn't Scarwing anymore, Estelle will never be Lady Blossom, holder of the Ladybug Miraculous ever again, she'll never see her kwamii Tikki ever again, she'll never be a part of the hero team ever again and most importantly, she'll never see her beloved Chase ever again.

Oh Chase, how she missed that boy so much. Her ex boyfriend who also used to be her ex sidekick, her soulmate, her partner in crime. They were both the protectors of Paris together. They defeated every villain Scarwing ever sent their way and with the help of other heroes, they were all unstoppable. Until the day they had to fight face to face with Scarwing, whom they never thought would've been so difficult to bring down.

They would've won the battle but because of Estelle's stupidity, they had to deal with the humiliation, anger and hatred from Paris's people. After the battle, Estelle gave her Miraculous to Chase in secret because he promised her that he would find her again and give the earrings back to her. What a bunch of bullshit, 2 whole years and where is he now? No text messages, no calls, no letters, no visits, nothing.

He left her with no explaination whatsoever and she can't reach him at all. But she waits for him like an idiot, hoping her love will come back and make everything okay like it was before.

All the other heroes quit their duties too, she hasnt seen them around Paris since 2 years ago. But she's not surprised, she wouldn't have been able to deal with the hate from the people either. Maybe it's just better that way, no heroes, no trouble, just peace and quiet.
