Hugo

Hugo entered through the doors of the large high school as a new student. Even though it was his first and last year here, it still counts as something right? 2 years ago he and his family moved to New York because of a serious life-threatening incident and because of his mother's job.

His mum, Marinette, works as a famous fashion designer and his father, Adrien, is a stay at home dad, even though he used to be a famous model in his teens. His father doesn't complain though, he loves his family alot and wants to be with them as much as he can.

They moved back to his parents' home city and enrolled Hugo and his siblings to the same school they used to go to. Hugo and his siblings begged Marinette and Adrien to move to Paris and live there as they want to experience the same things Marinette and Adrien did when they were young.

They moved to France in the middle of the summer holidays so that the kids could have more time exploring Paris and get used to the place, which they did surprisingly fast.

Hugo walked deeper into the school, looking around in amazement and satisfaction of being in a new school all over again. He didn't care about getting lost or not knowing where his classes are or with who his classes are, he was just overjoyed with being in this school in the first place, the place his parents met and studied in together.

He made his way onto the courtyard and looked around. Swarms of groups of people were scattered all over the school, talking, laughing, gossiping, studying. Hugo walked halfway through the courtyard when a familiar voice called out his name.

Hugo turned around and noticed Alno, a tall light brown skinned boy with chocolate colored eyes and dark brunette fade hair with a similar clothing style to Hugo, standing in the corner of the courtyard. Hugo jogged over to where Alno was standing.

'What's good my man?'

Asked Alno and both of them dapped. Hugo met Alno during the summer holidays in the skatepark. He was so mesmerised by Hugo's skateboarding skills that he wasn't shy to compliment and ask him to teach him some skills. They've been meeting up at the skatepark everyday since and a friendship formed between the 2 of them. Hugo couldn't be more happy seeing Alno on his first day.

'Just super pumped up finally being here. Where's Niya?'

'She went out to meet her girlfriends outside, they should be here any minute.'

Niya is Alno's twin sister but the only similar thing about them are their faces. Niya's hair is also brown but with slight streaks of dark orange all around and she usually ties it up in a bun. Her clothing style consists of flared jeans, huge belts, tank tops and alot of jewellery. Despite their different appearances, the twins are very close with eachother and are always seen together.

'So, anything new happened that you havent told me yet?'

Hugo automatically thought of the gorgeous girl he accidentally crashed into at the park earlier that day. She circled his mind after they parted ways and he can't wait for when he sees her again to fix her phone.

'I crashed into this beautiful girl on my skateboard. Broke her phone screen so I suggested that I fix it for her. She gave me her number.'

Hugo smiled just at the thought of the girl and his heart fluttered as he pictured her face in his mind. Alno noticed Hugo's cheeks turning a pink tint and decided to tease him about it.

Hugo snapped out from his few seconds daydream about the girl and looked at Alno who had a huge smirk on his face.

'I just said she's beautiful, she may be a bitch or something.'

But Hugo doesn't really think that. Sure he doesn't know her that well enough but from just looking into her eyes, he knows that girl is the most special person he's ever met. Hugo decided to change the subject.

'What about you and your crush? Have you finally made a move and asked her out?'

Upon hearing Hugo's question, now Alno's face itself started to blush lightly when Hugo mentioned his crush. Alno's crush is Niya's best friend whom he sees practically everyday in school and in their house when she comes over for a sleepover or to help Niya with her studies. Alno has been crushing on her for ages but never had the guts to confess. Alno promised himself that he'll ask her out when the time is right.

'I'll ask her out when-'

Alno got interrupted by a loud yell from somewhere in the courtyard. The two boys looked up curiously and noticed the yell was from Niya, who was trying to get their attention, accompanied by two other girls. The group of girls slowly walked towards Hugo and Alno.

The closer the girls got, the more Hugo realised that one of the girls is the same girl he had crashed into on his skateboard earlier! Hugo's eyes widened at the unexpected coincidence of seeing her that fast again. He quickly noticed that the girl also came to the same realisation.

Hugo couldn't stop himself from looking at her, like a force was attracting his eyes to look directly at her. Even when she and the other girls stood next to him and Alno, he couldn't stop staring at how unbelievably beautiful she was with her pale white skin, long jet black hair and emerald green eyes. Only the sound of Niya's voice broke his attention from the girl.

'I'm so glad to finally see all of us together like this again! It's been way too long.'

Niya looked at Hugo and suddenly remembered that she hadn't introduced him to her friends.

'Anyways, Hugo, these are my best friends, Claudia and Estelle. Claudia and Estelle, this is Hugo. Alno met him at the skatepark during the holidays.'

As soon as Niya introduced the girl's name, Hugo realised that he's heard that name somewhere before. He looked at Alno, who just like him, couldn't take his eyes off of Estelle and it hit Hugo instantly. Estelle was the girl Alno is crushing on!

Hugo felt slightly disappointed at the discovery and he didn't know why. He should be happy that Alno likes someone and help him get together with his crush but at the same time he doesn't want Alno to be close with this girl. Was he feeling...jealous? No way, he just met Estelle and he can't possibly have developed feelings that fast for a girl he knows absolutely nothing about.

'So Hugo what class are you in? Show me your timetable.'

Hugo handed his timetable to Niya and she studied it carefully.

'Oohh how lucky! You're in our class!'

Hugo smiled at yet another coincidence of being in the same class as his friends and Estelle. Niya then began to ask everyone what their first lessons are but Hugo didn't pay attention until his name was called out multiple times by Niya.

'What's got you so out of it lately?'

But before Hugo could answer, she asked him about his first lesson.

'Chemistry I think.'

'Estelle, don't you have chemistry right now too?'

Niya asked and Estelle nodded. Hugo snook a look at Estelle and they both made eye contact with eachother to which she smiled at him, making Hugo's heart beat a tad faster. The annoyingly loud bell rung, informing everyone that it's time to start off the school day officially.

'Same place here at break?'

Alno suggested. Everyone nodded their heads in agreement and they all left for class except for Estelle and Hugo.
