I grew up in a small town of around 2,000, so when my mom had us move to a bigger city, it was very weird. Do you guys remember your childhood dream? Well I have been trying to fulfill mine for the past couple of years! I am going to my fifth audition today and I am super nervous, I am still unpacking my clothes so I tried to find something professional but also comfy. I ended up finding a fitted long-sleeve with some jeans, grabbed my boots and left the house. I just recently turned 18 and my mom thought I should take things into my own hands but I am still very nervous, I drove to the place and got there 20 minutes early. I debated on going in early or just waiting but I went in 15 minutes early, I walked to where I needed to be with 10 extra minutes to spare, I handed in my portfolio and took a seat trying not to have a panic attack.

receptionist: Y/n L/n

I stood up and she pointed me to a room, I headed back and walked in a room

???: Hello! Y/n?

Y/n: yes!

Alex: nice to meet you, I'm Alex, this is Tracy and that is Tom

Y/n: Nice to meet you!

Tom: so you are auditioning for the lead of Allisa Tucker

Y/n: yes sir

Tracy: Y/n, have you ever done something like this before?

Y/n: yes, this is my fifth time Auditioning

Tom: nervous at all?

Y/n: Yea, a little bit

I nervously laughed but quickly stopped

Alex: do you need the lines?

Y/n: no I think I will be alright

Tom: alright, we do have a camera to film you to watch over later, I will say a line from Scene 2, line 13, do you want a page to skim through while we set up the camera

Y/n: Yeah that sounds like a good idea

I walked up to Alex who was holding out a script, Tom set up the camera and I scanned through before standing back on the X. Tracy gave me a thumbs up and Tom sat back down

 Alex: Rolling and action... "Allisa got up angered and tried to walk away"

Tom: Allisa are you serious, why would you do that to me

Y/n: Are you kidding? How could I do what I just did, you are a lying manipulative asshole

Tom: come on Allisa, I couldn't have done worse than what you just did

Y/n: what? What did I just do, huh? Called you out to all your pathetic friends and their girlfriends, I hope they know how much of a jerk you are, I hope you have a nice life 

Alex: and scene!

Tom got up and turned off the camera, I could still feel anger in my body from the Audition

Tracy: Thank you Y/n, we'll let you know

Y/n: thank you!

I walked out confused, did they not like me? was I too much? not enough? I walked out to my car and just sat there for a minute before driving back home

*2 days later*

I got a call from an unknown number, usually, you're not supposed to answer but I'll take my chances

Y/n: hello?

???: hi, is this Y/n?

Y/n: yes?

Alex: Hey Y/n, it's Alex

Y/n: Alex, Hi

Alex: hi, so I was calling to let you know that we liked your audition but would like for you to come back to have another audition, we have you and a few others in mind

Y/n: yea, that sounds good to me

Alex: perfect how does Friday sound?

Y/n: works for me!

Alex: see you then, bye now

Alex hung up the phone and I was in shock, I was so excited. I ran to find my mom

*2 weeks later*

I have officially given up hope, the director told me he would call me soon but that was a week and a half ago. of course, they don't want me, this is my fifth audition and I haven't gotten a single call back why would it happen this time

*3 days later*

I got a call

I answered

Y/n: hello?

Alex: Y/n, hi! It's Alex

Y/n: hi, happy to hear from you

Alex: I would like to apologize, we had lost your paperwork, we got back to our office in LA and lost everything so it took us a minute but I am calling because we have officially made our decision and we would like you to come work on a different project here in LA. We thought you most fit this role rather than Allisa, so how about I email you the script, you take a look for me, you would be our lead role her name is Tess, you don't have to audition or anything everyone that has seen you all agrees this is the role for you, what do you say?

I was speechless, they want me, they thought of ME for something

Y/n: yea that sounds good, do you need anything from me?

Alex: no, we have your email and stuff. just look it over and then we will have a flight for you, 2 weeks, 3 days from now. Come out here, check out the studio and we are having a cast seating, everyone is coming that will be in the movie, get to know each other and then we will be going over the script, so if you could print it out, that would be Awesome!

Y/n: sounds good!

Alex: alright Y/n, see you in 2 weeks!

Y/n: alrightly, see you!

Alex hung up on me and I set my phone down and jumped up in joy, then I felt a buzz on my phone, it was the script from my email, I ran to my moms office to print it out
