Age: 14
Sereia Jones

"How old are you now?" I look around, I was in the Cabin. "I'm 14?"

"How long have the Gods ignored you?" His deep voice was starting to freak me out.

"How is that any of your business?" I start to open closet doors to find the source of the voice.

"Aren't you sweet." He says slowly. Probably annoyed with my attitude, I laugh a bit, "people say I'm a ray of sunshine."

I jolt up, panting and looking around. A few heads turn to my direction. I look down in embarrassment.

"Nightmares aren't embarrassing." I look up to see Luke. He had is best friend also brother next to him. He had a dark curls same as Luke. Charlie was one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet.

"Yeah. I woke up crying once." Charlie says before turning his head away. Probably in embarrassment, I smile at Charlie's embarrassment.

"Um — I've never cried." Luke says while facing Chris but then turned to me. "But I've some nasty nightmares."

"Yeah they are the worst." I say while getting out of bed. I grab the regular orange t-shirt and a pair of jean shorts. As I'm walking past a few kids, I notice some had their bags out packing. That when it hit me, why everyone was still in the cabin. Today the people who still have parents to go to, leave.

Once changed and ready to say my good byes I walk out of bathroom. The first person in the cabin I wanted to say bye to was Layla.

"Layla?" I say watching the stressed Brunette. Her brown eyes meet mine, then she busts out crying. She jumps up and hugs me tightly.

"I don't want to leave! I'll miss you so much!" She was scary strong for a 10 year old. She was literally squeezing the breath out of me.

"Yeah me too." I barely get out of my mouth. The young brunette finally lets go of me. I smile at her. Her messy curly hair in her eyes, and her glossy brown eyes. She was like a little sister to me. I heard her step-father was the worst. I also heard her mother is the one who truly loves her.

"Promise me something." She says softly. I was hoping she wasn't gonna bust out crying again.

"Anything."

"Please don't leave! Please don't die! I don't know what would happen to me if you do!" I was taken back out of her request. What type of 10 year old says something like that? A demi God 10 year old I guess.

"I promise, I can't miss your 11th birthday can I?" Layla smiles at me and nods her head aggressively. I put my hands on her head to stop her, "you're gonna break your head if you continued doing that."

I run my hand through her hair before kissing her forehead. I smile at her before walking away. Praying to the Gods she doesn't die out there.

I walk around camp trying to find my friends but I only find crying campers. Most were crying that they were leaving. Others were trying that they were staying.

I walk past the training arena to see Adeline aggressively hitting a training dummy. Adeline was a beautiful brunette, she had crystal blue eyes. With a tan muscular body. She was 15 same as Luke, I wonder what Luke is doing.

Adeline noticed me and smiled at me. I smile back and walk towards her. Her sword had a beautiful green vine around it. It was a gift from Demeter, it turned into a bracelet when she wasn't using it.

"This day is horrible." She states. I laugh and shake my head, "because school starts tomorrow?"

Adeline laughs at my joke, "totally. I'm talking about what they are planning with you."

I raise an eyebrow in confusion. Adeline looks at me before her eyes widened, "Luke hasn't told you?"

I shake my head, "told me what?"

"They want to send you to that school Chiron went to." Adeline says slowly, annoyingly slow.

"What in Hades? No, I'm not going to school. I can barely pass the classes here!" I shake my head while stepping away from her.

"That's because you take classes 2 grades above you." Adeline rolls her eyes, "You'll be enrolled into the school and come back on winter break.."

"Why me?" I ask, Adeline shrugs before putting her sword up.

"Something about the school or whatever. I would've thought you would know, Luke was the one who suggested you." Adeline says. I look down knowing why Luke wanted me to go. He wanted to make sure the kid got here safely, Luke obviously didn't trust Grover. No one brought it up because they were scared of Luke. But Luke was petty and did not trust the saytr.

"Thanks for the information." I hug Adeline before jogging to Luke's usual spot around 10 A.M.

I find him at the Archery Arena. I lean again a wall, waiting for him to notice me. I didn't take long before he was next to me.

"Hey I thought you'd be with Carly or something." He says while smiling.

"Why drag me into your mess?" I ask. Luke looks confused before groaning, "Adeline told you?"

I nod in agreement, Luke's hand goes to the back of his neck. Luke's mouth opens then closes. Like he didn't know what to say.

"Look, please do this for me." Luke says softly. I look away from him not wanting to see the look on his face.

"Luke you need to give up that grudge on Grover." I watch a kid completely miss the target and bust out crying.

"I can't. If he did a better job at protecting then Thalia would be alive." Luke's head turns to the direction of the kid crying hugging onto Annabeth.

"Thalia was a forbidden child. She was bound to die one day." Luke's eyes dart to me. His jaw clenched and a visible frown is shown on his face.

"Look. You are the only one I trust in this shitty camp. Please sunshine." I finally look at Luke. Confused and scared, more confused then scared. Sunshine was a coincidence right.

"What do you mean I thought you liked the camp?" I needed to ignore the fact he called me Sunshine. So my face wasn't red and so I wasn't screaming. Luke grabbed me and he started pulling me across camp. I felt people's eyes on us as we pasted, I understood why.

Luke Castellan was holding Sereia Jones hand. They were heading towards the woods, what could they possibly be doing???
