Theadora's Perspective:
The end of the world started when I was born, because I fulfilled the prophecy. There were nine families ruling the world, now there's none. But I am destined to rule the world and I have been putting it off for over 16 years.
Mother said I'm not to cry, so I never did. Even when she hit me, or when she told me I wasn't supposed to be born, which I wasn't, I didn't cry.
When they found me I was apparently half out of my mind rocking back and forth in a bathtub, I don't remember anything at all, but alas they took me under their wing. I live with eight other boys who enjoy tormenting me, they treat me like their younger sister.
"Theaa, pleasee!" Ian begged. He wanted me to play cards with him but I had other things on my mind.
"No. Go ask Carden or Jett. They love to play cards." I said curtly.
"Fine." He huffed, then walked away from me towards Jett.
I grabbed a stack of books off the counter and attempted to carry them to my loft but failed. I bent down to grab the books and when I looked down I saw black loafers and groaned.
"If you're going to stand there you might as well help." I said in an icy tone. Archer might as well be the death of me. He acts like a stuck-up brat.
"You seem to be doing fine darling." He commented. A few years ago he started calling me "Darling" after I had tricked him into saying it.
I sighed and continued to pick the books up. I stood up and walked to my loft and had to reach up on my tippy toes to place the books over the ledge before I climbed the ladder. I didn't want to fall.
I sat down on my bed and picked up a book, read the first two words and was rudely interrupted.
"SUPPERTIME!" Milo yelled, he cooked for us. Supper was the most eventful part of my day, it was like a family dinner. Everyone had to say their favourite part of their day and what they were grateful for. I hated it.
I climbed the ladder once again and made the short trip to the dining room. Since we lived in an abandoned warehouse we had an open floor plan. I was the only one with a separate area because I was the only girl. They all had hammocks or cots off in one area.
I sat down at the table and waited for everyone else. Arlo and Heath came running in and almost toppled over me. Jett, and Carden walked in, they all looked distraught, as if interrupted. Kingston and Archer walked in laughing, probably about some stupid joke. Finally Milo with the food, it's grilled chicken and rice.
I've always felt left out, they all have their own groups and I have myself. I picked at my food listening to them talk and laugh, and after a while I pushed my seat back and got up. I was tired. I fell into bed and closed my eyes, after a little bit I felt someone's presence so I opened my eyes and saw Carden, Jett and Heath peeking over the ledge of my loft.
