Isabelle awoke from a deep sleep with tears rolling down her cheeks. She sat up in her bed and looked around at the unfamiliar room. She had been living at an orphan home for 2 months now and still couldn't adjust to the new environment. She thought she heard the sound of footsteps outside her room so she quickly wiped her eyes and tried to compose herself. She took a few deep breaths and stood up, pushing herself towards the tiny window at the far end of her room. She peered out and saw a dim figure walking away.

Isabelle watched the figure walking away from her room with a tinge of frustration. She sat back down on her bed and tried to settle her mind. She felt a pang of loneliness as the emptiness of the room came over her. The room was simple and clean, but lacking any sense of warmth. She felt a yearning for the comfort of her family but knew that wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.

Although Isabelle was still thinking about her parents, she decided to try to make the best of her current situation. She stood up and headed towards the common room. She saw a group of other orphans gathered around a table playing a card game. She stood by the doorway for a moment, unsure of what to do. She was nervous about joining the game and potentially embarrassing herself. Finally, she mustered the courage to walk over and ask if she could join.

Isabelle took a seat at the table and waited patiently for the game to begin. She was relieved when everyone welcomed her warmly. The game was quite simple and she was able to catch on quickly. She felt an immediate connection with the other orphans and was grateful to have found what seemed like a new family. The card game soon turned into a friendly conversation. Everyone seemed relaxed and easy-going, and Isabelle was glad she had decided to join them.

The game continued for a few more hours and Isabelle was having a great time with the other orphans. The conversation grew less focused on the card game and became more personal. Everyone shared stories about their lives and their families. Isabelle felt comfortable opening up to them and revealing her own background with her parents. She felt the connection with the group grow as they accepted her as one of their own.

As the game went on, it grew late and the other orphans gradually started to leave. Isabelle was reluctant to leave as well, but she knew she had to prepare for bed. She said her goodbyes and headed back to her room, feeling tired but also content. She lay down in her bed and thought about her new friends and the evening she just had. She thought about the connection she felt with them and how much she missed her parents. As she fell asleep, she felt a sense of hope for her future for the first time in months.

Isabelle started to notice a change in the way the other orphans acted around her. Though they were still friendly, there was a subtle distance and awkwardness that she hadn't felt before. She couldn't help but feel like something had changed between them. She decided to investigate further by asking Rose and Jack, two of her closest friends at the orphanage if they had noticed anything strange. They brushed it off at first, but after further inquiry, they admitted that some of the other orphans had made some comments about her in private.

Isabelle felt worried about the comments that were made about her behind her back. She was reluctant to address it directly with the others, but she also felt uncomfortable being around them knowing that they had said negative things about her. She decided to talk to her closest friends at the orphanage again. After some prodding, they admitted that the comments were about her parents and suggested that she should confront the others herself.

Isabelle mulled over what to do next in her mind. She felt conflicted about confronting the other orphans. She wanted to keep the peace and not stir up any trouble, but she also couldn't stand to think that they felt negative towards her. With the encouragement of her friends, she decided she had to do something about the situation. She made her way over to where the group was gathered and waited for a moment till the conversation quieted down .She explained her feelings and the other kids also removed that awkwardness from their behavior.
