crash, chop, and burn pt. 1

PHOEBE WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR that her egotistical neighbor, Mr. Davenport, got married. She never expected him to find an amazing wife like Tasha. As Leo took the bags inside, the Heartwick girl helped. Groaning slightly from how heavy the many bags were, what did these two pack? An entire apartment? She thought walking through the mansion door and setting down the many bags on a gray couch before flopping down on it.

Not once glancing over at Tasha and Donald not even wanting to face that trauma again, "I've never been in your house before Mr. Davenport, I always thought this place was trashed and messy."

"My house isn't messy—" The old man sounded offended, clutching his chest dramatically.

"You got this big house just from inventing things?" Leo grinned looking around the house, "Way to go, Mom." He gave her finger guns and glanced at the long silver pole near the couch.

Phoebe leaned away just in case Leo blew it up from touching it, again. It happened once in her house and after that, he had to wear gloves in her house, yet that didn't stop him from setting the spaghetti on fire.

"What the heck is that?" Leo pointed to the pole looking to almost touch it before Donald moved him out of the way so he wouldn't break it.

"This is my latest creation. Davenport Industries first completely interactive 3-D TV." He grinned arrogantly, pressing it showing a baseball game.

The person playing hit the ball causing Leo to follow it, bumping into the concrete wall and the computer near it.

"Watch the vase, termite!" Eddy appeared, in all his glory. Phoebe groaned at the sound of his voice, "Can we shut it up? It sounds like nails on a chalkboard."

"Mom, I think the little voice inside my head is back." The Dooley boy rubbed his head, looking up at his mom.

"No, this is Eddy. He's my smart home system." Phoebe perked up at the smart home system intrigued by Davenport's absurd creations, "Eddy, this is my new step-son Leo." He introduced the two, as the smart home system looked annoyed at the teens.

"Remember, I told you Leo and Tasha are moving in today?" Donald went on before Eddy looked between the two in his little computer on the wall.

"Hey, welcome. Everything here is mine." Phoebe broke out into laughter clutching her stomach, as the Dooley-Davenports glanced at her concerned.
