Jade's POV

"Jade."

"..."

"Jade!"

"Wha-" I stopped stirring my straw from my cup and looked up to see my band members with concern looks.

"Jade it's going to be okay." I turned to the right side of me to see Sarah giving me a gentle smile. Sarah had dark short red hair, her natural hair color. She had dark brown eyes and long eyelashes. She was full of tattoos, but not a lot. She had one sleeve done and all sorts of tattoos scattered around her body. Her skin was pale but it looked nice on her. She was beautiful and I envy her.

I had long dark midnight black hair that goes all the way to my waist. My skin tone was a nice tan color, but I wish I was pale like Sarah. I had pale blue eyes and medium eyelashes. I would always think I was a freak with my eye color, but soon I learned to accept it. I also have tattoos, but not as much as Sarah.

I had a few on both arms, small cute ones and the moon phases that goes all the down my spine. Finally, my greatest one that I love was an amazing Cherry Blossom that was tattooed on the right side of my rib cage. It was painful, but it was worth it in my opinion. I also had piercings. I had a lip piercing that was on my bottom right lip and a belly button piercing.

I returned Sarah's smile with a nervous one.

Currently my band are in McDonalds eating and chilling before our unannounced performance in an outlet called "SunRise." My band doesn't have a name. You see, my band is different from other bands out in the world. We don't play in hoping to get notice one day, we simply play for the fun of it. In my band is Sarah who plays drum and is like a sister to me, our bass guitar player and jokester is Jake, and the big brother in the band is Mac who plays lead guitar. I am of course the singer and sometimes I play the guitar as well. Having the band is more like a side job for us. Our main job is at a tattoo and piercing shop called "Skins."

The shop originally belonged to Mac's uncle whose name is Joe and who is also my father that adopted me when I was 4. Joe always wanted a kid, but unfortunately he never got the chance to get married. I never knew my parents and I never thought about searching for them because if they did love me they wouldn't leave me in the doorsteps of an orphanage in the pouring rain. Yeah sure they might have been too young to take care of me, but they still could have left something behind for me to remember them by or something.

But I guess I should thank them for doing that because I wouldn't have met Joe, Mac and the others. Mac was also taken care by Joe when he was 14 because his parents died from a car crash from a drunk person. It was a sad time for us, but mainly for Mac because he only had Joe and his parents in his family.

Joe soon introduced Mac to music along with me. He taught us how to play guitar and showed us some songs from his favorite bands. This was the time when our born was starting to take form. Mac knew Jake and I knew Sarah. Soon we all went out in Joe's garage and started to jam together. First, it was just us four jamming out after school, but later on we started to make songs of our own.

Joe was our great supporter and our band's number 1 fan. He was like the father of us all. Joe soon gave the shop to Mac because he wanted to travel around the world. It's one of his things to do in his bucket list.

Not only that Mac was the owner of the shop, but also the tattoo artist. As well as Sarah and Jake, but Sarah did the piercings. For me I am the receptionist. I also do a few client's tattoos here and there, but I only tattoo if needed basically. Even though having a tattoo and piercing shop in a small town like ForkWood, our business is surprisingly going well.
