Coffee Shop<3

I went to a coffee shop,
Opened the door too fast,
Somebody walked right into me,
"Are you okay?" they asked.
My book falls from my hand,
And your coffee spills on your sweater,
I fall into a fit of apologies,
I'm so clumsy, my cheeks grow redder,
I don't know what's happening today.
We get down to take my book at the same time,
"Hey! I've read that one" you say.

Our eyes meet,
And I'm paralyzed,
With the precise brown so enigmatic,
Your smile leaves me mesmerized.
I shake my head and get out of your trance,
"Please let me buy you a coffee" I asked.
You chuckled and said it was okay,
I insisted and you cracked.
We settled in the corner booth,
It was by the window,
You appreciated my new shoes.
"What else do you read?" I ask him so.
We keep talking on,
You look through me as if I were a kaleidoscope,
We really seem to be the perfect trope.
And I'm drawn by you,
He's cute, I think,
As if on queue he said, " You're very pretty, though."
That settles deep in my stomach,
Followed by an outburst of butterflies,
What would it feel like to have him as mine?

The conversation grows,
I know what you read now,
You love poetry and I very much happen to write some down.
We get lost in each other's words and we lose track of time,
How long has it been?,
I don't answer, I just smile.

I go to a coffee shop,
And open the door too fast,
I run into someone and this time nothing falls,
Except maybe my heart more for yours.
I'm held by the person in front of me,
"Are you okay?" he asks.
This time, we smile and we walk together into the same corner booth,
This is our place, isn't it?
Well, it's the truth.
Your presence is the best thing you could probably offer,
As if the clay you were made of was kneaded with rose water.
Love, you inspire me to write,
The idea of a love at first sight.
Romance is not dead,
Just buried deep.
Fate is a beautiful thing,
And beautiful are we together,
I think.
