Vivien, grappling with the complexities of her health and the recent emotional upheaval, found herself facing another difficult reality – her father remained unaware of the battles she had silently fought during his prolonged coma. The weight of this secret bore heavily on her heart, and she knew the time had come to share her truth with him. One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky, Vivien sat beside her father. The room was filled with a soft glow, and the familiar hum of medical equipment provided a backdrop to the emotional conversation that awaited.

"Hey, Dad," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "There's something important I need to talk to you about." Her father, still adjusting to the return of consciousness, smiled warmly. "Of course, sweetheart. You can talk to me about anything." Vivien took a deep breath, summoning the strength to articulate the words she had kept hidden for so long. "Dad, over the past few years, while you were in a coma, something happened to me. Something I never thought I'd have to face." As she shared the details of her illness, the treatments, and the challenges she had confronted, her father's eyes filled with a mixture of shock, concern, and unconditional love. Vivien, holding back tears, continued to unravel the layers of her story, the weightlifting with each shared truth.

"I didn't want to burden you," she explained, her voice cracking with emotion. "You were already going through so much, and I didn't want to add to your worries. But now, with you back, I couldn't keep it a secret any longer."

Her father, processing the information, reached out to hold her hand. "Vivien, I appreciate your concern, but you're my daughter. Your pain is my pain. We face it together, just like we always have." Tears welled up in Vivien's eyes as her father continued, "I might not have been here physically, but my heart was always with you. Now that I'm back, we'll navigate this journey together, as a family." In that intimate moment, father and daughter found solace in their shared vulnerability. The truth, though painful, forged a deeper connection between them. Vivien's father, determined to be a pillar of support, embraced her with unwavering love.

As they sat together in the dimly lit room, the shadows of the past began to dissipate. The acknowledgment of Vivien's struggles and the unconditional love emanating from her father became a beacon of hope, illuminating the path ahead. The complexities of their intertwined stories continued to unfold, revealing the strength that blossomed from the roots of family and love.

A week later, Casper took her to their favorite spot with a picnic basket, a blanket, and flowers. The surprise was ready, and Casper planned it with Vivien's Dad. They started talking about how their day was and Casper smiled, the nostalgia evident in his gaze. "It does, and I wanted to bring you here because there's something important, I want to ask you." Vivien's heart skipped a beat as Casper got down on one knee, a small velvet box in his hand. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as he spoke, "Vivien, these past years with you have been the most incredible of my life. Will you make me the happiest person and continue this journey with me? Will you marry me?"

Tears welled up in Vivien's eyes as she refuses, unable to contain her emotions. "No, Casper, I... I can't."

Casper's eyes widened in shock, the joy that had illuminated his face quickly replaced by concern and confusion. He slowly rose, the small velvet box still cradled in his hand. "Vivien, what's wrong? Is something bothering you?" Vivien looked into Casper's eyes, her own filled with a mixture of love and pain. "Casper, I... I can't say yes. I'm sick. Really sick."

A heavy silence hung in the air as Casper processed her words. "Sick? But you never mentioned..." "I didn't want to burden you," Vivien interrupted, her voice fragile. "I've been battling an aggressive autoimmune disorder for the past three years. The treatments, they're not working anymore. I didn't want to drag you into this." Casper's heart sank, the weight of Vivien's revelation settling over him. He took a step closer, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Vivien, I don't care about any of that. I love you, and I want to be with you, no matter what."
