\\Jake's POV//
I am going to my first day of high school today. My mother told me not to use my power because I would get into trouble. Going into high school means going to a new building where I'm from so I am kind of nervous. I was very anti-social in middle school, but I plan on changing that.
I finish getting ready and then go to my pod. That is what transportation is on Eonis. I have a 2010 Virgo Supreme. That may sound lame, but it is actually the most wanted pod on the planet, making it the most expensive. I head to the school, called Taurus Vantonia High. I walk in and go to the locker we were assigned at our HS orientation. I see a girl right next to it. I decide to talk to her.
"Hi" I say while getting my supplies from my locker.
"Hello" She replies.
"My name is Jake. What's yours?" I ask politely
"Skylar. I like your car by the way. I saw you get out of it when you arrived."
"Thanks! Well I have to go, so see you later"
"Bye"
I then go to my first class, which is Culture. I learn about our ranking system and class system. I learn about The Signless. I learn about common and rare powers and the signs. My teacher then turned on a video about the Signless. I learned that they were commonly thrown out and beaten. Sometimes even killed. I actually started crying. The boy next to me, Blake saw me crying and comforted me. I do wonder why though.
My next class is History. We start a lesson about a rebellion that took place long ago. We learn about the leaders on each side. We learn the reasons for starting. We obviously do not get in to deep because we still have a lot of stuff to learn about. Skylar has this class with me.
My third class is PE. We just go over the basics of what we are going to do. Skylar also shares that class with me.
The rest of the day was boring. I had Math, Writing/Literature, and Science as the final three classes. It being the first day of school, no one gave out homework. When I got to my locker I saw Skylar waiting for me.
"Hey"
She says Hi back
"So what are you doing after school tomorrow?" she asks
"Nothing, why?"
"I was hoping you could come help set up a party at my house"
"I'll help. I love parties."
"Thanks a lot!" She says cheerfully
"No problem"
I then continue to go home, eat then go on the internet and eventually fall asleep.
