The classroom was buzzing with noise as students chatted away, and there I was, seated beside Mina, engrossed in a conversation about our favorite K-drama that has recently ended. The excitement was real, you know? We were dissecting every episode, every plot twist, like it was the most important topic in the world.
Just as our discussion hit a peak, the door swung open, and in strolled Jungkook. His dark brown hair was styled in a slightly tousled manner, giving off an effortlessly cool vibe. The strands seemed to have a mind of their own, framing his face in a way that added a touch of rebellious charm.
His round-shaped eyes, shaded with a hint of eyeliner, held a depth that could easily draw you in. A pair of well-defined eyebrows perfectly complemented his eyes, emphasizing their expressive nature. His nose, straight and proportionate, led down to a set of lips that carried a natural, inviting curve.
A black graphic T-shirt hugged his torso, emphasizing the contours of his chest and arms. A worn-out denim jacket was casually thrown over his shoulders, adding an extra layer of laid-back coolness. The jeans he wore were a comfortable fit, yet tailored enough to accentuate his long legs. White sneakers completed the look, giving off an air of understated fashion. Moving on to his.. wait! Am I drooling? May be I am.
His eyes scanned the room, and when they landed on Mina and me, he shot her a smile before flicking a quick glance in my direction.
Next thing I knew, he was making a beeline for us. My heart did this little flutter thing , not gonna lie.
"Hey," Jungkook greeted before casually sliding into the seat beside me. I shot back a friendly "hi," and Mina, well, she just smiled.
Now, you could practically feel the collective curiosity in the room. Students were shooting glances, some whispers going around. It was like we'd become the center of attention, and not gonna lie, it was a bit much.
Jungkook, being the smooth operator he is, tried to break the ice. "How are you guys? How was your weekend?" he asked, directing his attention to Mina.
The small talk began, and even though there was this undeniable tension in the air, Jungkook was pushing through, trying to chat with us.
And that's enough to put gossip radar on high alert.
And there it was – the hushed murmurs, the exchanged looks. Most of the students probably figured out the situation, leading to more gasps and stares. It was like we unintentionally became characters in some high school drama, and Jungkook was playing his part in shaking things up a bit.
While all of these things were unfolding, Jungkook's silent plea in his eyes practically begged me to find another spot, giving him the chance to talk with Mina privately. Caught in the middle of this silent drama, I made a move, but Mina, quick to catch on, held onto my wrist, signaling me to stay put with a subtle glance.
Here I was, stuck between my crush and my best friend, a situation that had no clear solution. The tension was growing, and I could feel the weight of the awkwardness settling in.
And then, like a character sent by divine intervention, Taehyung strolled into the room. Taehyung strolled into the room. He walked towards us and casually took a seat beside Mina. The air thickened with unspoken tension. Jungkook shot daggers at Taehyung, and in return, Taehyung met his gaze with an equally intense stare. It was like a standoff, and I found myself caught in the crossfire.
The atmosphere was palpably awkward, and not just for us involved. Even the other students in the room could sense the growing tension. Thankfully, our teacher chose that moment to enter the class, disrupting the brewing storm and saving us from the escalating drama. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, offering a reprieve from the intensity that had settled in the room.
