My Brothers Best Friend (Jack Johnson Fanfiction)

Chapter 15

Mellisa's POV

It's been nearly 3 years since Jack and I were forced to break up. It's also been nearly 3 years since I found out. Since I found out I was pregnant... with Jacks baby.

I remember the day I found out, I remember it vividly. My hand shaking as I looked at the little plus sign, the anger in my mums voice as she yelled at me. I remember it all. She wouldn't let me tell any of the Jacks, and now nearly 3 years later as I sat getting our daughter ready for her 2nd birthday they still know nothing. I don't know if I want to keep it that way or not.

Lilly sat squirming as I tried to brush her hair nicely. Today I was going to take her to the park, just me and her then to the shop to get a new toy. I dragged the brush through her blonde locks, she wouldn't sit still. 

Gosh she looked so much like Jack. Her blonde hair, her piercing blue eyes hell even her laugh was just like Jack. She looked like me too though, she had my ears but she also had my brothers nose.

"Lilly? You ready for a fun day with mummy?" I asked the 2 year old. She had a huge grin on her face.

"You betcha, mummy." She said excitedly.

"Come on then, let's go to the park" I said, she took my hand excitedly and practically dragged me out the front door. I strapped her into the car seat and began to drive to the park.

"So what do you want for your birthday, Lill?" I asked looking at her in the rear view mirror.

"I want to see Daddy please mummy" she looked at me, her blue eyes gazing straight into mine. I didn't know what to say. How do I tell a 2 year old her daddy doesn't know she exists.

"Oh honey, we can't see daddy but we can watch him on the TV tonight if you'd like? You can even stay up a little later to see it" I said remembering that they had an interview tonight.

"Okay mummy, I'd like that" She smiled. "Can I get a new dolly too?" She added. I laughed 

"Of course you can sweetie" I smiled 

"Yay!"

We got to the park and played for a few hours on all the different play things, Lilly looked like she was having a blast, It started to get a little later and I thought it was time to go.

"Come on Lilly, time to go get your new dolly then We'll get Ice cream!" I said. She came sprinting over to me.

The rest of the day went lovely as we just enjoyed ourselves. Soon it was time to get home as The Jacks interview was due to start.

When we got home I got Lilly into her pajamas and we both say in front of the Tv waiting for them to come on. When they came on Lilly got so excited.

"Look Lilly, there's daddy and uncle Jack!" I said pointing to the TV. A tear slipped down my cheek. Oh I miss them so much.

"Daddy!" Lilly yelled running over and hugging the screen when Jacks face came on. " I wuv you daddy" she sighed.

about half way through the interview it got real interesting. 

"Jack Johnson?" The interviewer asked.

"yeah" He said in response.

"This is a picture of your serious ex girlfriend Mellisa, am I right?" The guy asked looking at a picture of me that was now on the screen. 

"Yes..." Jack nodded unsure, looking at my brother.

"We saw her out today at the park with your guys' daughter. She's adorable. How old is she?" The interviewer said pointing to another picture of me and Lilly today at the park. Jacks mouth dropped and his face turned white. My mouth also hung agape 

"Daughter?" Jack Questioned.

"His- their Daughter? that would be my niece?" My brother stuttered. Oh god they know. What the hell am I going to do?!?!

The interview quickly ended as non of the Jacks could speak. 

Lilly walked over to me and poked my arm.

"What's wrong, mummy. You look scared." She asked.

"N-nothing sweetie. It's time for you to go to bed now" I said. She nodded and yawned, lifting her arms up for me to pick her up which I did, and put her to bed.
