Solayne's POV

After an awkward amount of silence he finally speaks up. Sticking is hands into his pocket, he closes the small distance between us breathing in my ears.

"Daring I see" A tingling sensation trails down my spine making everything feel warm and cozy like I am floating, but the minute he steps away I am drench in chills from the night air.

"But I don't blame you" he brags "if I were you I would stare too" I frown at his egoistical answer searching his expression to see if he is been for real.

He gives nothing away masking his features behind his relax muscles. He then wishes me goodnight moving off leaving me alone in the dark.

Staring off in his direction I stand stagnated trying to process what just happened.

"That certainly didn't go as I suspected." I mutter to myself walking off in the opposite direction with multiple thoughts swirling in my head.

The Next Day

I mindlessly stare at the untouched coffee before me fighting the constant urge of throwing up every other minute.

Taking a deep breath, I massage my temple trying to ease the pulsating pain shooting across my forehead and temple.

"Those aspirins surely didn't work " I groan in pain regretting my decision to show up for this meeting despite not seeing how my attendance mattered.

Checking my phone for the time; 9:15 am flashes across the screen. I release a frustrated sigh eyeing the entrance.

'The meeting should have started more than half an hour ago.'

Hissing my teeth I grab my bag ready to take my leave. The door slides open before I can leave my seat and everyone pile in the room one after the other.

Making myself comfortable I pull out my note pad ready to take the minutes of the meeting.

Writing up the heading and date, the chair beside me pulls out and I glance up meeting warm whiskey eyes staring back at me.

The pen drops from my hand and I gulp. The hangover feeling slowly dissipates and everything else zones out.

Peeling his eyes away from me, he takes a seat without a word and I sink deeper in the office chair trying to bury the memories that resurface of last night.

Trying to concentration to the objective of the symposium I somehow find it hard to focus as my palms sweat profusely and sound became a nuisance.

I find myself swallowing greedily while side-eyeing the one person I know I shouldn't. He drums his fingers on the table glaring into the side of my face.

Time slows and the beating of my heart increases. Thoughts swirl in my mind hampering my degree of focus. Everything seems so difficult to comprehend that I missed the whole presentation.

I came to realization when the sound of hands clapping echoes across the room. Chewing my lip, I attempted to think of a resolution to my empty notes which I know should be submitted before midday today.

"I don't like it,"  His now familiar voice sounds across the room allowing him to receive eager gaze from everyone including myself.

Standing, he finally peels his gaze away from me to the presenter.

"The idea has potential but the ad is underdeveloped," he simply explains.

Taken aback at his bluntness I look around seeing Chanel flushed with what I assume is embarrassment.
