Dakota
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked out of the lecture hall and made my way towards Starbucks, I felt like shit. I couldn't sleep at all for the past few nights after my encounter with Ryder. My mom told me to come back home but I couldn't just leave, I had school, I had a life here now, and I wasn't gonna let Ryder scare me away. But he did, he scared me so badly. I've been walking around with a taser and pepper spray, just in case.
I walk into Starbucks and wait in line to order.
"He just got up and left?" I hear a girl behind me.
"Yes, we were making out and he was hard as fuck. But he just got up and said he wasn't feeling well." I hear another girl say.
Damn, that sucks ass.
"Chris is such a manwhore. I thought Garrett Gray was a dick, but damn, Chris sounds worse." I hear them say.
I frown.
Chris? As in my Chris? Christopher Young?
"Yeah, I'm sure Garrett finished before he left."
"No, the last time we ever hooked up was at one of their parties, we were making out and he just got up and told me that his girl was there and he had to go."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, deadass. It was fucking Taylor Perez, he blew off for her. She's not even all that."
"Well, at least Garrett had an excuse. Chris just got up and left."
"Yeah, that does suck."
"Ma'm?" I hear someone else say.
I turn my attention to the voice and see the barista waiting for me to order.
"Oh, uh, a grande hot caramel macchiato, please." I tell her.
She nods.
"Name?" She asks.
"Dakota." I smile.
"Oh my god, there he is." The girl behind says.
I look at the front door and see Chris walk in, he spots me and smiles before walking over to me. Oh fuck.
"Hey, buttercup." He says.
"Hi, Chris." I say.
"Here, let me pay." He says as he pulls his wallet out.
"You don't have to." I say.
"It's cool, make those two hot caramel macchiatos." He says as he hands the lady his card.
He knew my order. Dammit, Christopher.
After we pay, we both walk off to the side and I look over at the girls and see them glaring at me.
I was definitely on their hit list now.
"Everything okay?" Chris asks.
I look back at him and smile, "Heard you got up and left in the middle of hooking up with a girl." I say.
He looks over at the girls who were talking about and lets out an uncomfortable laugh.
"Uh, no it was my twin, actually." He says.
"Oh, your twin?" I ask.
He smiles and nods, "His name is also Chris." He tells me.
I couldn't help but laugh at him.
"Interesting, I thought you only had a sister." I say.
"Well, you thought wrong." He says.
"Hm, weird." I say.
