"This is going to be so much fun." Evie says as we fall down on the air mattress in our new apartment.
I laugh as I look around us. It was empty but I knew we'd make it feel like home.
"I'm so glad I switched schools." She says.
"Me too." I say.
"I can't wait to decorate this place." She says.
"We gotta go full out." I tell her.
"Big time. You should paint a huge canvas that we can hang up somewhere." She smiles.
"Hell yeah." I smile.
I sank it all in, I was living with my best friend. I remember talking about moving in together one day, and now that day has come.
"Senior year." I sigh.
"We shall make the most of it." She says.
"Yes, indeed." I say.
She laughs as she lays down and stares at the ceiling.
"What should we do now?" She asks.
"No idea." I laugh.
"Let's just order some food and stay in for the night." She says.
"Sounds amazing." I say.
She smiles at me and I smile back.
We ordered some pizza and sat back on the air mattress in the living room. I chose Tangled as our movie choice for the night. I loved this movie but I loved the memory it held even more.

"Have a nice day." I say as I hand the lady her bag of books.
She smiles before she walks out.
I missed the bookstore, it was like a comfort place for me. I felt so safe here, it made me happy.
It was a busy day today, a lot of people were coming in to get their textbooks before classes started up next week. I didn't mind the people though, it was interesting seeing everyone come back after the summer and getting their life back together here.
I continue to scan the textbooks and check people out before a pregnancy book gets placed in front of me,
I feel my heart race as I look up and my eyes meet bright blue ones. He smiles at me and I stare at him in shock. Maybe I was dreaming? I knew I'd probably see him but now that I'm seeing him, I feel euphoric. He looked amazing, his hair started to grow back, I liked it. It suited him, he was tanner, his skin was practically glowing. I liked the summer look of him.
I look back down at the book and laugh.
"This is the book you want?" I ask.
"Yes, I think birthing is a fascinating topic." He says just like he said the first time he came into this store.
"Whatever you say, blondie." I say as I scan the book.
He hands me his card and I swipe it before handing it back to him.
"Receipt?" I ask.
"Yes, please." He says.
I print the receipt and hand it to him.
"Can I have a pen?" He asks.
I frown and nod before I hand him a pen.
I watch him write something on the receipt before he hands it back to me.
