Heizou felt a smile come to his face as he saw Ink approaching. "Ink!" He waved excitedly, his eyes sweeping over Ink's figure. The black shorts, lavender button-up, and white knitted legwarmers looked so cute on him.

"Damn, you look good."

Heizou swore he could see Ink become flustered from the comment.

"Shut up..."

"Come on, you can't get dressed up all cute like that and expect me not to compliment you! Are you not cold, though? The sun's going down and you're wearing shorts..."

"A little, but I'm fine. Why are we here, anyway?"

The question pulled Heizou out of his thoughts. His thoughts that totally weren't about unbuttoning each of the buttons on Ink's shirt with his teeth... "Ah, yes! There's a thief in the school. And I don't mean someone's stealing people's pencils. There's an actual thief! Stealing jewelry, money, food from the teacher's lounge, and, yes, some regular school supplies. But isn't that exciting?!"

Ink's expression turned to one of shock. "One of my rings did go missing while I was at school! I want it back, let's take this guy down!"

A laugh came from Heizou. "That's the spirit! Let's bring the criminal to sweet, sweet justice!"

"Wait, but... isn't it after school hours? How are we supposed to get in?!"

"Ah, Mr. Neuvillette agreed to let me start a detective club, and this counts as a club activity." Heizou took Ink's hands in his. "You can be my first member!" His eyes were practically sparkling. How could Ink say no?

"Fine, fine! I'll join. It seems like it could be fun. Who else do you have in mind?" Ink tilted his head to the side curiously. It was so cute, Heizou almost died right then.

"I was gonna ask Sara, Cyno, Charlotte, and Navia. Sounds like a pretty good team, doesn't it?"

Ink seemed slightly shocked at the accuracy with which Heizou listed potential members. All of them except Charlotte wanted a career in law, and Charlotte wanted to be a news reporter. It was the perfect mix of people...

"That sounds like the best team! But.. why me? I'm the least qualified person on that list. Hell, you, Cyno, and Navia are taking CSI this year!"

Heizou's hands rested on Ink's shoulders. "Calm down, I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't want you to join, ok? You'll do just fine. With a bit of practice, you'll be a vital member of the team! I believe in you, ok? Besides, the reason I asked you here is because you'll get some experience under your belt. Real experience is always better than just learning concepts."

Ink nodded, taking a step back to let Heizou's hands fall off his shoulders. "As long as it's not an excuse to keep flirting with me..."

"Hahah, I won't do anything you're not comfortable with. But that won't stop me from complimenting you~." With that, Heizou took Ink by the hand and dragged him into the building. The school was eerie after hours.
