Tem
Tay, Time, and I have been happily together for nearly a year, surrounded by the support of our families and friends—well, almost everyone. Unfortunately, Time's older sister, P' Maprang, didn't seem to share the same sentiment, and her disapproval weighed on me. Despite feeling bothered, I've chosen not to bring it up with Time, as I didn't want our relationship to cause any conflicts between him and his sister.
"Hey love, what's on your mind? You seem a bit down," Tay inquired.
"Don't worry, babe. I'm okay," I reassured him with a faint smile.
"Are you certain?" he inquired with suspicion.
"Yes, babe," I assured him, moving closer for a kiss. A few minutes later, we headed down to the kitchen where Time was busy preparing dinner. Catching sight of us, he smiled. We both approached him, sharing a kiss with him before taking our seats at the dining table. As Time continued to cook, his alluring presence captivated both me and Tay. However, our attention was briefly diverted when Time's phone rang, prompting him to answer the call.
Time
As I prepared dinner, Tay and Tem descended into the kitchen. They approached me, sharing a kiss, before settling at the dining table. Their eyes remained fixed on me as I continued to cook, a familiar occurrence. Suddenly, my phone rang, and although I couldn't identify the number, I answered hesitantly to see who it was.
"Hello?" I greeted.
"Hey, Time, it's me, Ploy. Please don't say it's me," my little cousin said, catching me by surprise.
"Which documents?" I inquired, feigning a conversation with my secretary.
"Are you alone?" she asked.
"No, you need to arrange those documents as soon as possible," I insisted. She sighed before responding.
"Can you go somewhere else? I really need to talk to you, and please, don't let them know it's me," she pleaded.
"Okay, hold on a minute," I replied. Turning to my boyfriends, I asked, "Hey, I need to check some documents for the office. Can you two make sure the food won't burn?" They nodded immediately. I proceeded to my office and locked the door.
"Hey, Ploy. It's been a while. How are you, darling?" I inquired, genuinely delighted to hear her voice.
"Hey, babe. I'm fine. I missed you so much. How are you?" she responded in a cheerful tone. We've always been very close, like siblings.
"I'm doing well. Why didn't you let me reveal it's you?" I questioned her immediately.
"That's because I'm back in Thailand, and no one knows. I don't want you to tell anyone—not my parents, not my siblings, not my friends, not anyone," she explained, leaving me very surprised.
"When did you come back?" I asked, curiosity piqued. I had anticipated her return to be a year or two away.
"Well, it's a long story, and I really need your help. I'd like us to meet so I can explain everything to you. Can we meet tomorrow? PLEASE," she pouted, as adorable as always. Being myself, I agreed.
"I'll take a few hours off from the office tomorrow so we can meet—" I began, but she interrupted me.
"You should take the entire day off, we have a lot to discuss," she insisted. We decided to meet early in the morning at 8 a.m. at the hotel where she was staying, and from there, we planned to go for a walk. After hanging up the call, I placed my phone back in my pocket and headed downstairs.
